It's what every collector dreams of! Your voice straight to Hasbro's ear! :yay:

Yep, you heard me! Hasbro has asked us to get in touch with the community so they can get an idea of what exactly we are thinking. Although this is technically Fair specific, this is a great way for people not attending to get their opinions heard too! So, I have 2 specific questions and would love to get any and all input from you guys:

1) What would like to see from Hasbro at the Fair?
I can't gaurantee that all suggestions will be implemented, but anything is fair game! Artowrk? Q&A? Future products? A giant Pinkie Pie made entirely of marshmallows? Speak up! Now's your chance!

2) What questions are you dying to ask during Q&A?
This is actually more of a request from the Fair than from Hasbro. We'd like to compile a list of the most common questions people have AND some of the most unique. We'd like to get this list to Hasbro ahead of time, so they can be fully prepared for the info collectors are looking for. Again, no gaurantees that your question will get answered (we only have so much time), but any question is fair game!

Well IF I was going which I'm not,but I'd still like to ask if this Core 7 idea is going to last longer or is like an intermission on the pony line until they have some whole new grand sceme of things?

Yes! As Gummypony just said, that is my question as well.

I'd like to know, if they are planning to continue the Core 7 and for how long?
Any ideas for new ponies in the near future at all?

Have they changed their minds about boys or sea ponies yet?

1) What would like to see from Hasbro at the Fair?
Is it possible that Hasbro could show a video of how MLPs are made?

2) What questions are you dying to ask during Q&A?
Is it possible that Hasbro could speak to "How It's Made" from Discovery to show how MLPs are made?

Yeah, I want to know how they are made. Been wanting to know for YEARS. I figure there are some copyright red tape to go through to make this possible, but if it ever does happen to show how MLPs are made, please let us know.

1)
G1 protoypes, cool G1 stuff consumers never saw, and stuff that's NOT core 7.

I also agree with Mythin-- I'd love to see how MLPs are manufactured. A video of the factory processes would be awesome. But I'm sure Hasbro would never do that, since they manufacture in China and probably want as little seen of their manufacturing plants as possible.

2)
I would like to ask Hasbro why the G3 line has been so much less imaginative than the G1s... few unicorns, no seaponies, no boys, few ponies that "do" special things... why do they seem intent on making girls toys blander and blander? This has bee a boon for customizers, but a bane for consumers.

I won't be attending the fair, but a question for Hasbro is why do they always focus their products on the younger age group? I'd love to find stuff for adults/teenagers. Espeically clothes! As in pajamas and sweatshirts and t-shirts that are actually more my size than for a smaller figure.

1) G1 ponies as G3´s...... Sea ponies, Boys, flutterponies(butterflywinged ponies), more do your own ponies.... a privet section for breezes....

2) Is there any plans that is going thru with the ponies from the above.....

Is there a date you want these by? I really want to think up questions, but I may not get to that until a day or two, I hope there's still time! Thanks for giving us this opportunity, I'm glad I can still ask questions even though I won't be able to make it!

I'm wondering why they did so few poses with the unicorns and pegasus ponies (and mostly only used the first pose with the pegasuses). They had so many different poses with the earth ponies before the Core 7 deal, it was always disappointing to have the same thing over and over with my beloved winged ponies.

Ok, I made my list of questions, I hope Hasbro can consider some of them.

1. What would you like to see from Hasbro at the Fair?

More involvement. Aside from a Q&A session, I'd like them to interact with us more- maybe provide some reading materials like a fact sheet or pamphlet on the line, which would kind of explain about the line, and tell how well it's done over the years.

I'd like them to maybe give a talk or a powerpoint presentation on what goes into designing a pony from beginning to finished product. Maybe they could show photos and explain how many people are involved in the creation of one new pony character. That or photos or explanation of the tour would be nice for people who weren't able to go.

2. What questions are you dying to ask during Q&A?

*Where do they see the line going in a year or so- still marketing to 3-6 year olds, still using the Core 7?

*Who is Twinkle Hope- what does she look like, will collectors be able to get her, and who is the Project Pony this year?

*Are we going to see any more babies or more G1 re-releases?

*Were the G1 molds destroyed? If so, how are they creating the new re-released G1s?

*Since all the ponies coming out are in the same pose, are the older G3 poses still copyrighted, and will they still be used, or are they going to be destroyed?

* Are they going to start selling pony clothing separate from ponies since they are all in the same mold?

* Are we going to see any new characters sprinkled in with the Core 7, or is it just straight Core 7 for as far as the eye can see at this point?

*(This isn't so much a question, but I wanted to say:) Thank you Hasbro! And thanks to the fair staff. We really, really appreciate all you both do for us. Please keep it up, we love MLP and want it to keep going strong.

Here's one simple plea; please make some more G3 babies and some of the little sisters again, they were so cute. Please, I'm begging you! And yes, Bratz has made sea ponies, I think MLP seaponies would totally be adorable, please think about it!

That's all so far, I'll think of more later, I hope.

Whew Claire! That's a good list!

I know you already put your list up, but I thought I should answer your question anyway: We will be going over some of the ideas for things to see at the Fair in our meeting tomorrow. But we'll be collecting suggestions for a while and be forwarding them on.

As for the questions part, I wanted to compile it so Hasbro has some idea of things they should or might need to cover in Q&A. I figure the more they know about what people will ask, the better prepared they can be. Especially if it has anything to do with the G1 line, as these people are mostly acquainted with the G3s. So we'll be compiling that list up until pretty close to Fair time as well.

Thanks for all the input so far guys! I'm writing everything up this afternoon.

1. Hasbro seems to have finally realized that there is a market for collectibles in the toy industry. I would like them to seriously pay attention to what the collectors want, not what they THINK they want. But these awsome exclusives are a start...

2. Two questions:

What's the deal with the insistance that no one will want 'male' ponies, and they aren't going to produce 'male' ponies? See number one.

What happened to the 'tween' ponies? We know they had at least a limited production run, because several popped up on eBay two years ago. We eventually got all the others from the ones that got auctioned at the same time, but why no 'tweens'?

What do you mean by the "no 'tweens?" If you're talking about the sister sets with the sister that was bigger than the babies but smaller than the adults, then they were widely released. I've got Mocha Nut and Tiramisu, the pegasus set.

Hopefully it's not too late for some input.
I don't like it that there will only be seven core ponies, and they're all in a similar pose.
I'd still like to see a few new ponies come out now and then.

And how about a fan favourite vote? Like how they do with Star Wars action figures and such. That would be fun.

i'd like to see them go back to the G! mold's. And we need more boys like the orginal, they were awessome and alot of people would like to get some, even little and big kids

I think,if hasbro is keeping their age limit to preschooler,i don't think eyeshadow is proper for a 3 year old, and my daughter's 2 and loves the g1, at least their more age apporiate and not all gussied up in make up and skinny,g1's atleast had some meat to them.
I really don't care for the new half naked, make -up coated, super skinny glamor dolls they are making for kids these days(all companies).
so that's my mission to find the old 80's toys for my daughter to play with.
sorry to rant
as you can propably tell i wasn't a barbie doll kid.
