Halloween ATC -- it's wrap-up time!

my favorite 80's ness
Jim Henson-
The Storyteller***
Fraggle Rock
Muppet Babies

You and me are on the same page there thebeth! Jim Henson is my hero! So sad that his life ended so soon, but his legacy lives on!! And every time I see John Hurt in something I see him with that nose!

Course, now I'm imagining a gryphon custom from The Storyteller, by far one of the best creatures created!! "Snuffle, Snort, other sort!"

Oh my gosh, Jim Henson is made of awesome. I just wish the actual Muppets counted for this, but that was the 70's.
Every time I'm in Disney World I go to the Muppets 3D. Love it <3
And The Storyteller! Man I could watch the youtube episodes of that show every night before I go to sleep and I'd be a happy camper. Now I'm gonna go watch hehe...

too bad labyrinth doesnt count. its not a cartoon, but pretty awesome from the 80s.

Just need a few more people... hint hint, wink, wink:945:

WHOA NELLY, I just hit 500 posts! Time to party...

well... I put in the storyteller, which is not a cartoon. but then I left out The Breakfast Club which is very 80s and I love... hmm... I wonder if I should put it anyway...

Come on in, Skeen! I think that was ParadisePalms' swap, though. I don't want to claim swaps I didn't run. ;)

OOooH! DUH! Yes, that was PP's swap. LOL That was a while ago, I hope I still remember how to draw!

I think I forgot how to draw and color. It looks like my daughter is doing the work. Sorry fellow swap artists, but I am trying. If you want to use my cards as drink coasters, go right ahead.

Ponyland TV Guide says...

There's a Jim Henson block in the evening. Please feel free to include Muppets, Storyteller, Fraggle Rock, Labyrinth, Dark Crystal, etc. in the costume swap. No Brat Pack movies, though -- that didn't test well with the pony audience. ;)

I feel like I say this every swap, but guys, relax about your cards and just enjoy making them. I can tell you from past swaps some of my favorite cards are the ones with really clever ideas. Execution is often secondary. Not that I'm saying you should be intentionally sloppy, just sometimes its the ideas that make the cards, not your years of art training. Give it your best, and we will enjoy it, I promise! :eek:k:

Can I please sign up for the Bobbing For Line Art swap? I participated in your summer swap and since I can't draw freehand, this sounds like the way to go. Thanks!

Oh THANK you TV Guide!
That's okay, I don't need the Brat Pack.
*runs to add the Muppets*

^_^ You're welcome, thebeth! I figure the Muppets were popular enough there's some overlap there...and I seem to recall watching Muppet Babies on Saturday mornings, so I think they're fair game.

Goddess Daine took the last spot in the lineart level, so when I get home tonight I'll be dropping PMs to that group and you guys can officially get to work.

I'd like to join up on the 80's costume swap. *raises hand*

Great to see you, SoccerChicka! I can't think of anything else off the top of my head that you'll need to know. ATC swaps are pretty open-ended other than the theme and card size. If anything crosses your mind, please feel free to drop me a PM or post in the thread.

Somewhat off topic, but I am really looking forward to all the cards in the costume swap! You guys have posted so many great shows I've almost forgotten about. This is going to be me opening swap packets -> :yay:

~dancing around~ yippee. I'm glad you got them safe and sound. yay!
