Weeell, to be 100% honest I don't celebrate Easter, but that doesn't mean I can't make an Easter themed custom.

I was originally not going to reveal this custom until I finished the whole set (a set of some of my favorite international ponies as babies), but I was in a festive mood.

So here she is, Greek Baby Ladybird!

After seeing the Ladybird in the egg I wanted to get the baby one an egg too...but unfortunately she doesn't fit in this one (and trust me, it was insanely hard to find a red easter egg! Not exactly the most popular color in a holiday that's all about pastels). I'm working on getting an egg she fits into though. I used this one just for display.

Anyway, she'll be for sale eventually, but not until I finish the set of babies I'm working on. The good news is I'm about half done.

I really wish I could take comissions, but I can't because I don't paint bodies, so it's really hard to find the right baits. Plus I never seem to have time to really get these done when I really want to, so I know I would just keep getting delayed and I wouldn't want to do that to customers.
 
I saw her when you were still working on her...and I about died then. I actually have died now. I absolutely must have her.... When you get done with the set and sell her I am going to be beyond happy! :)

She's gorgeous and the egg only adds to it. Out of curiousity, who did you use as the base? She's got such a lovely pink color.

Maybe you should make 2 more of her so Whippet, Kar and I can all have one! lol Did you use a minty baby cotton candy or did you just rehair one? I still cant get over how perfect she looks! There's light shining off one of her symbols and they look flat, and I don't see any brush strokes. Wow...
 
OMG when I first saw her I thought she was REAL! OMG! Okay, normally I don't eBay anything, but...

Btw, what hair did you use? Is it MLP hair? What's the colour called? Omg! I need that colour of hair! :shock:

Thank you all! To answer some questions:

She used to be a Baby CJ. Her body is actually more of a peach color, truer to the orignal pony I think...Baby CC is more pink. And while I realize Baby CJ is quite rare, I waited a LONG time before I found one that was really, truly, beyond help...the one I got had her NDS symbols completely rubbed off, and I actually used her hair to give a near mint Baby CJ a new forelock, so I had a Baby CJ with highlighter/pen marks, faded symbols, a minor haircut...restoring her would not really have been cost effective...and I really wanted to see Baby Ladybird come to life. (she actually still has some flaws on the body...but considering how hard it was to find the bait, I'm not complaining! She has ink marks on the bottoms of her feet and a faded pen mark on her side...some slight stains from her symbols...but I did get the highlighter out!)

And hair is dollyhair. I really like it!

I really appreciate the positive feedback everyone...it's really motivating me to finish this set and spread my work around, knowing people would actually like to own stuff I created. I'm on cloud9!

Maybe Cloud9 needs to be my the name of my next custom...lol, I like that.

OmG I don't own any greek ponies, but I so badly want your custom. She is perfect. Where did you find an egg to fit her? And who is baby CJ? Excellent job, excellent flawless custom. Wow :shock:

Did you even have to dye her body?
 
I like it that you gave your custom baby the very Greek "style" kind of eyes. They looks very realistic indeed.
