I grew up with ponies so they've always been a part of my life. I'm very fortunate to still have most all of my childhood ponies. I can think of only a few that aren't still in my collection today and while some of the accessories I definitely lost and wished I still had there is one particular pony thing I would give anything to go back and time and tell myself to keep. It was the My Little Pony Express. What is this My Little Pony Express you say? Well when I was a kid my Dad had gotten this bicycle for me, probably from a yard sale or something and I remember him telling me he was going to make me a surprise. My Dad has always been very crafty and he cleaned and striped the bike, painting it a purpleish/pink color and in his best (which was pretty good) MLP logo font, painted My Little Pony Express along the sides of the bike. Pony Express, My Little Pony, you get it ;) Anyways, he also took MLP stickers and put them on the bike and must've clear coated it with something heavy duty cause I remember they stayed on there. It also had handle bar tassels, that I wonder if he made MLP too cause I don't recall ever seeing G1 MLP bike tassels in all my years of collecting but I know they had ponies on them as well. It also had a bell and a pretty butterfly seat. I can picture it in my head and I love the fact that the whole thing was lovingly made just for me. I don't know what happened to my My Little Pony Express but of all the things I've managed to keep from my childhood as I've grown up this special thing I wish I still had. I'd love to at least find a picture of it one day but I don't recall ever seeing one. Hopefully one is tucked away somewhere.

Do you have any MLP items you wish you still had?

I got a baby Cuddles buggy for my birthday or Christmas cant remember from my Great Uncle and Aunt who were like my Grandparents. I loved that thing and played with it till it was nothing but parts. I don't know what happen to all the parts and such or the original pony. I got a different one some years later but its not the same.
I miss my great Uncle more then anything he was the best Granddad I ever had and when he pass in 2001 it killed me. To this day I wish I still had my buggy he and my Aunt gave me.

That is awesome. Your dad wouldn't happen to have a picture of it would he?

I got rid of most of my childhood collection, just have a few bits and pieces, but I remember my grandmother telling me she wanted to take a picture of me and my ponies. I spent probably an hour arranging them all on shoe boxes on different levels so you could see them all. I remember the photo but I can't find it anymore. I really wish I had that.

My childhood baby ponies Cotton Candy, Moondancer, Glory, Blossom, Firefly and Surprise. Also So soft childhood Surprise. This kills me every time I think of them.

Not really a childhood thing: But years ago...I wish I still had my entire collection I had prior to the one I have now. Stupid me decided to put all 350.00 ponies on ebay for sale and they only sold for 52.00. Some serious head bashing took place due to my laziness to not list them separately. This is why I am compulsive with ponies. I wish I had bought all the sea ponies when they were in stores. I remember seeing them but I was saving all my money for Cabbage Patch dolls. Boooooo I was in Middle School and High school when G1 was out, but I did like them. I could kick myself for not buying any. I was getting other stuff. I want a time machine so I can go back and leave a note in my room to buy some ponies and leave them on the cards from my future self.

As I've mentioned before, I lost my entire collection when I moved years ago. They were in two tubs and my darned brother Eddie put them on the porch and one of the neighbours swiped them. A lot were gifts, but none were as precious as my G1 Minty, who my brother Ken had bought me while on leave. I imagine that huge Marine, in full uniform, buying a Pony in the toystore, then having her in his locker till he got to visit us at home and I just smile. I adored him, and he is gone now. I like to joke he and Minty are playing pool in heaven together.

I do have a wonderful new Minty though, that sweet, sweet Ology sent me. She's on the shelf with my special, best Ponies.

My mom got rid of my collection on the grounds that she thought I was getting too old. I'm slowly but surely getting some of my most wanted back, but I'm not very likely to find Sunnybunch. It was a pain and a half trying to find Dazzleglow and SS Gusty again. But thanks to my wonderful boyfriend I've got them.

My original Mexican Show Stable ;_; And Petite Pony Castle... and all the petite ponies my mom says we had but lost while playing with ;_;

My Show Stable and Petite Pony Castle were given away by mom one Christmas (without asking!!) because school was asking for toys to give away.
