G4 Star Trek Trill

I made another Trill pony. (post for G3 version http://www.mlptp.net/forums/customs/89946-star-trek-trill-hubby.html) I did make her to sell, but she is special because she is the pony who almost never was, and also that it looks like she forgot to curl her right eye lashes. She has been coppied from my original; the hair is the same blend and style, the spots do go all the way.

My husband is now "suggesting" that I make blind bag versions of all the Star Trek species.

I hope this answers your question;
The same as most everyone here. Thread the head of the rehairing tool and push it through the hole for the hair plug. I uses the original hair plug holes. It still amazes me that the plastic will then relax shrinking the hole and will hold the hair tight. The hair will relax but I coaxed the mane into place with hot tap water. The braids took practice.

I haven't done this before. I was making do with less.

Here's a pretty good basic tutorial:

I do the same thing, but I use fishing line & a needle to pull my hair through.

Here's one with a rerooting tool:

I prefer the first method myself, it just seems more secure to me.

You do not need to buy a rehair tool. Dollyhair's rehair tool dissapointed me because the clamp inside wore out fast. What works out best for me is a hemostat clamp. It is also very helpful for removing hair.
First you clip off the tip of a needle eye with wire cutters making a tiny prong. They you can hold the needle tight with the hemostat clamp. The clamp also has teeth that help hold onto the needle. Do not forget to glue the inside when using this method.
