Today I found a Pinkie Pie I at a flea market. In the car, I noticed that she was rattling. Is it a washer? I know that G1 ponies' washers will rattle, but I've never taken a G3 pony apart, so I can't picture what it looks like inside.

Has anyone else had a rattling G3? Is it fairly common and I've just never noticed it?

As far as I know, they have metal washers like G1s.

I've never found a G3 that rattles, but I did give a G3 to my cat who likes to chew on them, and I cut off her tail so he didn't ingest the hair. Then I just pushed the washer and what was left of the tail into the body... It rattles quite nicely. Just like a cat toy ;)

Thanks. That would make a good cat toy, my cats are always trying to play with ponies. I might try that.

I've heard that sometimes the magnets that G3s have in them can come loose. Perhaps that's the source of the rattle?

LOL I've sacrificed two of my extra G3s to my cat. She loves to chew G3s.

The magnet wouldn't cause rattling, because it's on the bottom of the foot. It wouldn't go up inside the body. I have one thrift store find missing her magnet.

I have a Pepperberry who rattles, and the only thing that could be rattling is the washer. There's nothing inside excpet for the magnet, the washer, and the metal clamp (which has a death grip on the tail, so I don't think it would rattle). The washer is the only thing that's likely to come loose and make that sound, so I'd say it's the washer.
