G3 Pony Expert, please help.

I just started collecting G3 Ponies and I've made a list of the ponies I'd like to buy.
Wysteria is one of the ponies I'd like to buy, but it seems she has a few different versions.
Can someone please explain to me why there's 2 identical Wysteria ponies, but with a slightly different color?

Could be just a batch error in the plastic's color. Could be faded or discolored a bit from age or environmental factors.

No mass produced toy is completely identical tbh.

Agreed - it looks like fading to me but a batch variation is certainly possible as well.

There were two releases - a single in 2007 and a promo pack with Rainbow Dash in 2008. I don't know if there are any significant differences between the two. There used to be a really good site that documented all such variations in G3s; unfortunately, it no longer exists and the wayback machine doesn't have enough of it archived to be of any use.

I think it's just a batch error. I have three of Wysteria, two of which I bought brand new and as far as I can remember, none of them have ever had identical colour bodies. It's the same with most ponies unfortunately.

Looks like fading to me. Wysteria had 5 different poses. Your two there are Wysteria version 5. Released in 2007 as a single and 2008 as a duo pack with Rainbow Dash. There are no known variants for Wysteria. I worked with the gal who managed the variant encyclopedia Breyer600 mentioned above, and I have the entire list of known variants from her site. I am currently working on updating the G3 guide I made a few years ago that was originally available on the Mylittlewiki page.
