G1 playsets - what do you have?

Hi guys! Just wondering what G1 playsets people have? How do you display/store what you have and how complete/incomplete are they?

I am a dedicated G1 collector and some of these sets are pretty big so just wondering!!!

Dream Castle - loose, displayed on the floor
Lavender Dream Castle - loose, displayed on the floor
Dance School - in box, in the closet
Perm Shoppe - in box, in the closet
Waterfall - in box, in the closet
Brush Me Beautiful Boutique - loose, displayed in the closet
Pretty Parlor - loose, displayed in the closet
Show Stable - loose, displayed on the floor
Home Sweet Home - in box, in the closet
Paradise Estate - dismantled in a large rubbermaid tub
Sweet Dreams Crib - only partially complete, in the closet
Rock-a-Bye Bed - only partially complete, in the closet
Poof & Puff - shell only, in a rubbermaid tub
Lullaby Nursery - loose, displayed on the floor

G2 playsets are all MIB and stored in the closet.

That's all I got.

Wow, that is quite a lot!
I love these playsets, they just take so much room to store/display! My P.E is on a coffee table in the lounge, only JUST fits lol.

Do people count things like the Birthday Party gift set, Sweet Clover and Tootsie's set, the different collector's cases, the various baby buggies and the purses as playsets??? Just curious!

I think with my very recent addition (yesterday!) of a very beat up Megan's Place, I have all the g1 playsets...O..M..G... I just realized that. It only took me 20 years to do it! Now, I just need to find all the missing pieces, instructions, and boxes. Then, I can move on to petite playsets (we need a fainting pony-emoticon for me to put right here).

As for display, I have all my ponies on Billy system bookcases from Ikea. They aren't deep enough for most playsets but I think someone was saying (was it you, Fantastic Firefly?) that Billy now has a deeper shelf which I hope to get one or two of in the next few years.

I have..

3 Dream Castles- (well.. pieces of 3. I think I have at least all of the shell of 1) The main part of 1 sits on the top tier of my computer desk for pony display. the rest are in a closet.

5 Nurseries. ( I think) 1 is French. 1 sits near my desk, the others are in a closet.

Parts of 3 show stables. I think have the whole shell of 1..all in a closet.

1 Perm Shop. In a closet.

Part of Home Sweet Home, in a closet

Most of Paradise Estates. I'm missing the pool and the canopy, I think I have most of the rest, including the small things. In a closet.

Pretty Parlor.. in a closet

Baby Bonnet school of dance.. in it's box, in a closet

Parts of a few different strollers.. parts of a UK stroller, Scrub a dub tub.. in boxes, in closets. Stable carry case and castle carry case.. in the storage room.

I hoard playsets! I pretty much buy 'em if I find them in a thrift store. I've been passing over show stables though, I have enough of those.
 
Oh wow! I am missing a few playsets before I can say I have them all, but I will get there one day! The ones I am missing are on my wishlist... I currently have;

Paradise Estate, almost complete, (with extras) on a coffee table in the lounge
Two show stables (1 complete, 1 90%, childhood sets) on the top of a corner display in the lounge
Megan's place (about 50% complete) under the coffee table
Two HSH's, (one 99%, one about 40% complete) also under the coffee table
Pony School, (80% complete) under the coffee table
Three Pretty Parlours, (one complete, the other two 90%) also under the coffee table
Grooming Parlour (90%) under the coffee table
Perme shoppe (90%) on a shelf unit in the entry way
Pony school (German, 90%) under the coffee table
Pony kitchen (complete) under the coffee table
Poof n Puff Perfume Place (70%) on top of a display shelf in the entryway
Rock a Bye Bed (99% ) on top of an antique sewing machine in cabinet in the entryway
Sweet Dreams Crib (99%) on top of an antique sewing machine in cabinet in the entryway
Scrub a Dub Tub (complete) on top of an antique sewing machine in cabinet in the entryway
Lullabye Nursery, (complete with the extra different pieces from the second edition) on a china cabinet at the end of the hallway
Cuddles Baby Buggy (complete) next to the Lullabye Nursery
Sweet Clover the Picknik Pony (German, MIB) on the antique sewing machine
Baby Bow Tie's stroller next to the rock a bye bed
Dream Castle (complete bar a couple of the felt banners) on a shelf half way up the hallway
Lavender Dream Castle (shell and two accessories) next to the original Dream Castle
Waterfall (90% including Pony Bubbles) on top of the Sea Pony display in the hallway
Satin Slipper Sweet Shoppe (complete) on a shelf in the entryway

I also have a 80% complete Gymkhana, a 99% complete Birthday Party pack, Tootsie and her party accessories 90% complete, and a loose Sweet Clover with just a couple of accessories. So I have a few but there are still a few to find! Wouldn't mind tracking them all down again as MIB's too...

My ponies are also mostly displayed on shelves, with the exception of the Seaponies which I have in an old fish tank. Makes sense, they are water ponies so I keep em in the tank! :)

I only have the show stable. But that's the one I had as a kid, so it's the only one I REALLY wanted. There are a few I wouldn't mind having if I came across them for a good deal, but I don't feel like I NEED them. lol

Think that's it. All in various states of disrepair as they're childhood ones. ;) Most still have all accessories however. Some I still have the box for, some were already second hand when I got them.

Did you get the one on Ebay recently that was missing some of the doors?

YUP! I sure did! Missing all the doors, I think. I might do replacements with show stable doors even though they aren't the right color.

And darn it! I forgot about the UK playsets! I have the kitchen but not the school. Shoot!
 
My Megan's Place has all the doors... But one of my HSH's doesn't! The colour difference isn't that bad between Megan's Place and Show Stable, but it looks really noticeable when you try to use Show Stable doors on HSH!!! :LOL:

I´m only missing some acc. to almost all playsets... only a few are complete... but none are only a "shell"... And as long as the attic isn´t isolated I can only have a few on display... the others are in the closet...

What about the Satin Slipper Sweet Shop? Not to mention the international playsets, like the German, French and Italian releases of the Show Stable....

I thought I was close to getting all the sets too, then I discovered these releases... I have a lot more work to do! But I will get them all one day! :)

Oh, I have the Satin Slipper Sweet Shoppe- great set!

Well, I'm honestly not counting French, German, etc playsets that are pretty much exactly the same as the US releases (although, I do love the different box art!). If only shipping wasn't so high both domestically and internationally!

This thread has made me want to get out my stored playsets!

Yes, that was me! the regular one has shelves that are is 10 " deep, and the extra deep version is 14 5/8 "deep. I like that all I need is a deeper case and to move my current doors on over to the new one. :)

Slowly I'm getting there playset wise. Most of my playsets are thanks to Twinkler. She made some AMAZING local finds and she's the reason I HAVE so many of the playsets, she's found even more I was missing and I'll get to see them when I visit. I have lots of restores to do this summer for sure!

I just started pulling mine off their various shelves and giving them all a good clean... Found a couple of massive spiders in the Dream Castle... and I'm arachnaphobic! Wasn't good lol. It's clean now and back beside the Lavender one.... I still want the international sets though. Especially the German Show Stable, that was a slightly different colour to the others as well as the cool rainbow decal over the doors being printed in a totally different language! Thank goodness I have a huge house to display everything! I have around 450 G1 ponies as well... And that does not include any double ups...
