This is sort of a companion piece to the Jason custom I did. Freddy has been entirely sculpted over with apoxie sculpt, except for the claws which are actually made from metal. As always he's been painted in acrylics, and sealed. His skin tone was done in three different shades to make it look more realistic. Even though I'm a bigger fan of Jason, I think I prefer this Freddy custom to Jason. The hat was a pain to do, but it was worth it in the end.

:weird: OH MY GOSH!!! It's VERY scary looking, but it's VERY well done!!!

DreamBlue - Thanks Blue.

This is the one i've been waiting for. Thank you for showing us, he's totally awesome. I have been a Nightmare on Elm st. fan for a long time. My whole family loved the series. This custom rulz, i'm a total fan. :yourock:

BabyStarbowMLP - Thank you I appreciate that.

ParadisePalms - Glad I could make you laugh. I use lots of references.

Lightstorm - Thanks. Its great your whole family can share your love for Freddy.:eek:verlord:

:wow1:Oh my DemonDreamer! How realistic is Freddie here? *Freaked* I am going to hide under here and NOT fall to sleep. :hide: You let me know when all is clear!

Your work is out of this world my friend. :yourock: You go!

How long did does a custom generally take you? All that detail, so awesome!

Mia, I love your energy. Freddy took me about a month to do, but I had 2 whole weeks where I really couldn't work on him.

Thanks satinslipper, I really think it's great the time and energy you put into this place.

Wow!! I love it!! Halloween always brings out hte best customs!

This was one of the first horror movies that I actually saw in the theaters when it first came out...yes the first one, not all the sequels. You captured the whole persona perfectly. You are quite the customizer!!!! I love all your themes...they are the type that I prefer (great minds think alike). AND you can tell that you do have the "artistic eye" if you know what I mean. Your sculpture is suberb. I'm not sure if you are a Buffy fan, but I'm waiting on a Spike, Angel or Oz if you are!

:yourock:

You've really captured his snarl:stirthepot:

Chehime - I agree Halloween seems to bring out the most creative ideas for customs.

ChristyK15 - Oh, lucky you getting to see it in the theaters. The first horror movie I was allowed to see in the theaters was Tremors. Yes I love Buffy, and I'll think about doing some customs of those. Have you seen the ones over at the arena for Spike? And I did one Werewolf pony I don't know if you saw. I know its not Oz, but it's still a werewolf.

sam234uk - Thank you so much for always complementing me on my work. BTW, I am in love with your banner art its superb.

piper - What is that doll you have a picture of? I don't know why, but she creeps me out. It's probably the angel, or the overly large eyes.

I have no artist talent at all so when I see these amazing customs I am in such awe. To be able to do such a piece in 2 weeks blows me away! I really do enjoy your work. :) Since I have no idea what it takes please excuse my silly questions but that is how we learn, true? :) So I wonder what is it that you use as the head? Is it wax and you carve or something else?

Mia I didn't think it was a silly question at all, and I believe everyone has artistic talent. Some people just need formal training to learn, which I've had for most materials just not sculpting. The head is a base G3 head, and then with some support from inside in the form of wire I sculpt apoxie sculpt on top. Wax sounds like a really interesting idea, but I don't know if it would melt the pony's plastic.
