Just wondering... What were your first ponies? Not just your very first one, but by generation (if you happen to collect more than one)?

My first ponies were Whirly and Topper, the Petites that came with the Prancing Pretty Carousel. I don't remember actually getting them, they've just always been there. :biggrin: I guess I must've been really small when I got them.

If I was to count only regular-sized ponies though, my first would be G3.5 Rainbow Dash. ...Of all ponies. o_o It was 2010, Friendship Is Magic had started just a few weeks ago, so of course when I saw a My Little Pony called Rainbow Dash on the store shelf, as weird and not-anything-like-the-show's-Rainbow-Dash she looked, I got interested. Later I learned (and relearned) as much as I could about the franchise, got even more and more interested, and well... Here I am. :p

By generation, my first ones were (regular size only - no Petites, Ponyvilles or Blind Bags):

G1: Galaxy
G2: Berry Bright
G3: Minty
G3.5: Rainbow Dash
G4: Rainbow Flash

What were yours? :D
 
G1: Happy Hugs (one of only two ponies from my childhood)
G3: Scootaloo
G3.5: I think Sweetie Belle
G4: Honeybuzz
 
G1: Can't remember, I think Tassles?
G2: Sunflash
G3: Butterpop
G3.5: Starsong
G4: Lily Blossom
 
I honestly can't remember which ponies I had as a child (it was 25 years ago so I have an excuse, maybe?!) but when I got my old ponies out I had about 30 in a bag. The ones I can definitely remember playing with are Princess Tiffany, MB Sunburst and Lemondrop.
As an adult collector my first purchase was Peppermint Crunch from the G1 range. I have had G2's come in a lot but I'll be selling these, I had a G3 (don't know the name as have no interest in them) given to me as a gift, and my first G4 purchases were Lyra Rays and Holly Blue from UK Ponycon.

G1: Whizzer (first ever pony!)
G2: Dainty Dove (because my bedsheet doesn't really count?)
G3: Wysteria
G3.5: Starsong
G4: Rainbow Dash
 
G1: Bunny Hop
G2: Sugar Belle
G3: Kiwi Tart

Bunny Hop was the one that started it all... :D
 
G1: Buttons and Wind Whistler (at the same time)

G3: Sweet Berry (at least, I opened her first, don't recall who came out of the bag first because Aadra got them for me)

My very first nirvana pony was an Argie Baby Moondancer that I still have, my first plush was Bowtie, and my first porcelain was Ponies' Playhouse. I don't think I remember any more firsts!
 
G1's were my first but I can't remember who was my very first one since it was so long ago.

G1: Mimic (my very first and the pony that got me collecting to begin with)
G2: Berry Bright (I think it was her, anyways....)

My first plush was Moondancer and my first international pony was Italian Bowtie. I think that's all for me... :)

The only first I actually remember was my very first MLP. That was my stuffed Blossom. I'd been begging my parents for a MLP for AGES. So when they came home from a trip (my Dad was/is a musician so he was away playing a gig and Mom had gone with him this time) and presented me with the stuffy version of Blossom I was over the moon. I've been collecting ever since. :)

G1 - I was too young to remember but my mother told me it was my FF Cotton Candy. I had blossom, firefly and medley for as long as I could remember as well.
G2 - It was a mcd's pony I'm sure. I think i ended up with a Clever Clover at some point as well. Not really my fav. Gen
G3 - I bought all 8 at once as soon as they hit the shelves. I love my G3's
G3.5 - never got one
G4 - I bought my first blind bag pony last month - it was glittery AppleJack.
