She very much looks like an arts and crafts project, and I’ve gotta figure out a way to get the paint smoother, but I’m fairly happy with her for a first-ever MLP custom job!

In her previous life she was a Scoops with some serious staining. The pic doesn’t show it too well, but she had grayish black markings over much of her body which just wouldn’t come out. And of course, she was missing her tail. I wasn’t brave enough (and didn’t have the money to spare for hair), so instead of trying to redo her tail, I just followed my usual practice of “stick a buncha fake plants there” XD

(if anyone has any tips for making the paint-over smoother next time, I’d appreciate it!)

My goodness!!! How lovely!! I absolutely love the eyes and those freckles. The colors you chose just look so adorable. I don't have much experience making customs, but one tip I've heard is to thin paint down with water and do multiple thin layers, rather than one opaque one, if you are interested. She looks so great and I love this design!! I love the fake plants!

Aw, thank you!! <3

Oo, I did multiple layers but I didn’t try watering it down first, I can see how that would be helpful! Ty!

I think she's very very pretty and unique

Yup, like @ponyville said watering down the paint is the way to get it smooth :) it should be about the consistency of milk in my experience
I like her plant tail, that’s so cute!
