Story:

As darkness grows to take over all, there are those who would stand against it. Mystic Winds is one such pegasus. Gifted with the ability of light, her magic pierces even the darkest of magic. She stands for everything good and will continue her cause to fight for it against any odds. So, stand against the dark with Mystic Winds.


This is a custom commision from Baby Reenie. She loves pink and wanted a simular Dragon Symbol and design of that of my other custom Silverwind. So, I created Mystic Winds in really cute pretty tones of pink for Baby Reenie. I gave her more feminine eyes and added hints of pink to the tips of her wings, feet, and ears. I hope she likes her. She was alot of work, but worth every bit of it. Enjoy! :biggrin:

I started with a concept sketch of this dragon.

I was asked to keep a pink theme so I did. I then used layers of colors from, pink, red, purple, brown, and black for the main body colors. I followed with highlights of light pink, white, and irredesent white to give a shimmery metallic effect of the scales. Took along time, but with patience I was able to bring the design to life. I created shadows first and followed with highlights. I hope that makes sense. Thank you for your support. :)

Oh, I just hand painted this on directly from looking off the sketch. Takes alot longer, but at least I have a map of what I was trying to do.
 
I understand that ^_^ I've done the same for Dusky and some of my dragon-ponies, but Mystic Winds is so much more detailed! I'm totally in awe!
