Howdy!!! I have just become a new fan of the FiM episodes and was wondering what your favorites are! Also, tell me why you like that episode so much! My favorite is Dragonshy b/c Fluttershy proves that even the most docile of friends can gain the courage to stand up for her friends! Plus I think it's hilarious that this soft-spoken scaredy cat of a pony freaks out and pretty much scares the bejezeezus out of a giant dragon to protect her friends! I literally had that picture of her screaming at the dragon as a desktop It's so awesome =) So anyways! Tell me about your Favorites!:allecto::allecto::allecto:
 
I don't even know, I love them all so much! I don't think I can decide....

As a Disney fan, I really appreciated a lot of the little details in "The Best Night Ever." "Party of One" was so deliciously creepy, as was "Lesson Zero." "The Cutie Mark Chronicles" gave us an interesting look into the mane 6's childhoods, and "The Return of Harmony" 2-parter gave me chills (and even made me tear up). "Suited for Success" was the episode that made me like Rarity..... GAH! I really CAN'T choose!
 
My Little Lofty- OMGee! Cutie mark crusaders was so cute! I loved it so much! I love how the little ones band together and support each other while they are growing and learning!

Margos- I agree totally with "suited for success." I like rarity so much more because of that episode. Another I liked her in was "A dog and pony show." I laughed until I cried when the dog told her she was whining and she was like "no, this is whining!" and goes off on them. I was in stitches!

Me, too! Rarity totally showed what she's capable of, and I was really impressed. And it was hilarious. "THIS is WHINING!" HA!

And I really like the CMCs, too. I don't get why some people don't like them. I wonder if they're going to become friends with Pipsqueak from the new episode. He's another character I wish more people liked.
 
I LOVED Call of the Cutie. Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon crack me up. From Season 2, I think Lesson Zero was so funny, and Luna Eclipsed was so wonderful with the Derpy scene and Luna back.

Yeah I know it sounds like a non-answer, I really can't pick a favorite. If you held a gun to my head I suppose I'd say Luna Eclipsed due to it being the newest, and of course having my favorite characters in it. If anything it'd probably be easier to pick least favorites, and even those are fun. The characters are all endearing (OK, maybe endearing isn't exactly the right word for Gilda), the art and animation are beautiful (I love the trot walk cycle, and the detail put into lip synching, f'rinstance), and overall there's just a sort of sense of joy to it that's not all saccharine phony. It just feels like a labor of love by all involved, and it's sorta infectious.

I mean...yeah, I guess it's okay. For a girls' show. /spike

I can make with wild speculation there. I think enough shows/commercials/what-have-yous have too often thrown in kids or baby animals because they're cute by default and are supposed to elicit an automatic "D'AWWWW!" response from audiences, and expect that anticipated cuteness to stand on its own like some sort of magic auto-appeal bullet. So it winds up being that people in actuality get so durned sick of seeing kids and puppies and such tossed in with no effort made that it becomes an automatic turn-off instead. I like the CMCs though. FiM didn't take the lazy way out with the typical lisping, stuttering, "LOOK AT ME AREN'T I JUST SO CUTE?" types, and instead put as much effort into fleshing them out as interesting characters in their own right as they did the rest of the cast.

Call upon the CMC ponies! Scoot-a-loo, Scoot Scoot-a-loo...

i love the cutie mark chronicles. i can't wait to see them get their cutie marks.
 
Call of the Cutie! I'd had some really rough stuff going on irl and was feeling terribly beat-down and blue. I had heard people talking about FiM off and on over time....avoided it worrying I wouldn't like it like other series revamps I didn't much enjoy (strawberry shortcake, I'm looking at you!). On a whim I chose this episode.

I automatically loved(to hate) Silver Spoon and Diamond Tiara. It was kind of like giving Princess Moarbucks(powerpuff girls) a sidekick.

This episode really picked me up and got me into FiM ♥ Sometimes we just don't know what makes us special, but we need to learn that doesn't mean there isn't a specialness there. :)

It really is hard to pick a favourite episode though!
 
My favorites are the episodes where one of the main girls has a mental breakdown of some kind. Crazy ponies.
 
I really like "Luna Eclipsed" because LUNA IS THE BEST PONY!!!
 
I like the 1st one with Zokura. Its was just silly with the poison Joke plant.
And the one where they all say how they got their cutie marks.
 
My daughter loves every episode with the Cutie Mark Crusaders, and I love Sonic Rainboom. :D Seriously, that episode rocks. Not a thing about it that isn't awesome. LOL
 
My new favorite is Luna Eclipsed. The one with Nightmare Night. I love all the costumes they came up with to put on the little ponies! I watched it a couple of times just so I could get a better look at all the costumes in the background! I was a little disappionted that they didn't have Fluttershy dress up though and RainbowDash was barely in it. I also liked the Cutiemark Chronicles too!!
