MLPTP Fall Sticker Swap 2023


How does it work?

The MLPTP Sticker Swap is like a Secret Santa: each participant is given another MLPTP member to send a padded envelope full of sticker goodies to, based on the recipient's wish list. In turn, the sender will receive a swap envelope based on their own wish list from someone else! Pretty easy!

Everyone will send/get stickers based on their wish list, tailored for them by their secret swapper. This swap is for ALL kinds of stickers. MLP stickers are welcome but are not required. We understand that official pony themed stickers may or may not be available in all areas, so members should not expect to receive stickers that are MLP. The stickers will also be wrapped and made festive! You will ship and receive a package full of sticky STICKER fun!


Requirements to Join​
  • 2 months of Active Membership at MLPTP. (Meaning you've interacted on the forums within the last 6 months prior to this post.)
  • Minimum of 50 posts.
  • NO Minimum feedback required to join this swap. (Participation will earn you feedback, so this is a great way for our newer members to build feedback for our larger swaps.
  • You must not have any Negative Feedback on your profile.

What are the spending limits?​
  • There is just 1 category for this swap:
    • Level #1 is $7-9 (including stickers and any extras that will fit in a padded envelope)
    • These amounts do not include shipping costs of any kind.
    • Please see etiquette below.

MLPTP Swap Etiquette to Follow:​
  • Members may only have 1 partner per member for this swap.
  • This swap is about all the sticker goodness! Check your partner's wishlist to get ideas on what kind of stickers they like and what their interests are. Extras you might consider including should be small and be safe for shipping in a padded envelope.
  • All items must be wrapped. Think about it... how FUN is it to unwrap gifts?
  • Remember to include a card and let your partner know who you are.
  • Delivery confirmation (domestic) or receipt of sending (international) is required! This way if something is lost it doesn't count against you, but it will be the post office's fault.
  • Be sure to package your swap items for a safe, secure delivery! This means using a padded envelope to make sure the stickers and card make it safely to your partner. Make sure your labels are clear and legible!
  • We understand some members may get carried away in shopping and not realize, or may feel inclined to go over budget. Please understand to do so is entirely discretionary and if you do, you may not have a partner who will do the same. Also consider, not everyone has the funds to go over and nor should they feel like they have to. A member who spends appropriately should not feel like they didn't give enough because someone else was over-generous. Based on feedback we've received, a maximum is not set but we strongly encourage swappers to please try to stay as close to the budget as possible to avoid any hard feelings and remember to account for values of items that you may have already had that cost you nothing. (I know some of you are sticker hoarders and will be pulling from your stash - this still counts toward the price range!)
  • The MLPTP Swap rule of thumb is: Send a package that you would be thrilled to receive yourself.

IMPORTANT STEPS:​
  1. Send your tracking number and/or proof of postage to the swap host by November 13.
  2. Once you've received your box, you must post a thank you brag in the Show n Tell thread. Your sender is anxiously waiting to know how much you love your box, and everyone else would love to see what you received! Failure to complete this step will result in a neutral feedback for the swap. *Please try to include at least one photo that shows everything you received all together, with however many other photos/comments you want.
  3. The mods here at the MLPTP are very busy and will quickly be moving along to the next swap, game, contest, or other activity. Please open your boxes and complete step #2 above by December 1. Failure to do so means that the mods may not be able to step in and help with any concerns you may have with your swap box after that time has passed. (Obviously if your box arrives after this date for some reason you will be exempt.)
  4. If you have any concerns with ANYTHING you MUST contact the swap host ASAP. We will always work together to come to a fair and decisive conclusion.

Given the circumstances of the last couple years, we want to give members time to shop and deliveries time to get to their destinations.

Therefore, I want to stress the importance of the deadlines listed below and importance of communication.

Everyone who signs up and sends a package should be able to also receive a package in a timely manner. If you are not confident you can have your package shipped by the deadline, please think twice. There will be other fun festivities to participate in. We understand things arise and some things can't be controlled, that's okay but we also want everyone who participates to enjoy the swap.

If for any reason you run into issues you must communicate with the swap host so we can work it out. Failure to ship by the required deadline or communicate issues in a timely manner may result in a negative feedback. We want to make sure the swap is fair and fun for all who participate.

  • Once you're accepted into the swap, post your wishlist here by 10/29 and refer to the top post for the MLPTP Wishlist Guidelines. Everyone is gonna be ready to get shopping!

You must PM the swap host when:
  • You have any questions.
  • You want to sign up.
  • You mail your package (you must include tracking info)!!!
  • You receive your goodies.
  • Whenever there are any issues or delays!!!

I'm not really a sticker collector, but I will join. Why not? Just don't know how I'd do a sticker wishlist, lol. I'll send a message later, getting ready for work now

What are y'all's favorite places to buy stickers? I feel like craft stores near me always sell sticker sheets for at least 3-4 dollars, but I'd like the package I send to feel as full as possible for the budget!!

Maybe I'll join...I collect/hoard lots of stickers even if I don't really use them because I don't know where to put them :blush: or want to do something later with them (but not sure when that 'later' will be...) hmm...

Are we only allowed to send full stickers sheets for this? Or are sticker flakes, other individual ones and incomplete sheets ok too?
I’m just wondering cause sometimes I’ll use like 2 stickers on a sheet but the rest are all still good and might fit someone else’s list. And also because when I get larger sheets I cut them to fit in my sticker box so they aren’t whole sheets anymore

I have a huge stash of spare stickers but not many are pony themed - is this just a pony sticker trade? I have lots of cute scrapbooking ones, various other characters (anime, gaming, toys etc) and a huge mix of random bits! Is it worth me signing up?

Full sticker sheets are not required. It can be singles, partial sheets, etc.

The stickers do NOT have to be pony themed. We know not everyone has the ability to find MLP themed stickers in their area.
 
Hmmm I think I will reach the 2 month criteria a day before the sign-up deadline, I hope I would still be able to sign up but it is okay if not

Good to know thanks, I'll have a serious think about signing up (I've got a lot of commitments right now but it sounds super fun)
