*EDIT* New "Surprise Ponies" - Anyone know what these figures are? Ponyville?

Huh, it reminds me of the little G1 Transformers figures they released in Japan about 12 years ago or so (for the life of me I can't recall what they were called) and later (like about 4-6 years later) they then released them in the US. They were surprise figures too and there were a few random clear ones in those as well.

I bet the third clear one is Sweetie Bell since she's a Unicorn. Then we'd have an Earth, Pegasus, and a Unicorn.
 
I don't know what it is about blind bagged toys, but I must have them. I think it has to do with my compulsion to complete things. Plus, surprises are fun. Well, unless you don't get what you want after looking for ages. Anyone remember the original Wonder Balls? The ones with the little PVC figures based off of Disney characters? I think they might have been called Magic Balls. They were made by Nestle. Anyway, I collected those for so long until some kid managed to choke on it and they stopped making them. I remember going to the stores and buying up the last of them when they were marked down to like 25 cents each. I still never got the Ariel, Belle or Jasmine toys which were the ones I wanted so much.

There were also these little baby figures & accessories that were blind bagged that I used to collect. I don't remember what they were called, though. But they were so cute and I remember each week spending my allowance on several packs I would get from Toys R Us.
 
Oooh,it sounds like they'll be like Puppy in my Pocket used to be! I loved those,opening the little packet to see who you get! Soooo exciting! Love the clear ones!
 
Aaaaaaaaahhhhh... I get it. They're like collectable anime figures. It's common in Japan to have small collecable figures of characters in 'blind' box packaging. In Japan they even come in vending machines in little capsules. I have a bunch of these from Tsubasa. You have no idea what's in the box until you buy it and open it. The clear figures are called 'chase' figures, meaning there's a small number of them in the set and you have to 'chase' them down because you'll probably end up buying a whole bunch of doubles that you don't want before you get the ones you do want.

There's also no guarantee that you'll get the chase figures even if you buy a whole case of the toys, especially if there's say 13 figures and they're sold in cases of 12. Just warning y'all ahead of time. ;)
 
Woah, clear ponies! I'm not all that keen on the idea of "surprise ponies" because, as with the old Puppy in My Pockets, you usually end up with a lot of doubles... on the other hand... clear ponies!! That'd be enough to make me want to buy them haha.. all the extras could be sold and/or customized <.<
 
I really want the clear ones! The others, eh. What kind of search words does one use for them on ebay?

I SO need the clear ponies!!! I have a feeling they are going to be super hard to get though. :-/
 
Bonus to trying for the clear ponies and getting a bunch of doubles..... Bait fodder :guitar:!! I really hope they become available here in the states!!
 
What are you guys putting in the search on ebay, to find them? I tired surprise my little ponies,clear mlp,surprise ponies etc.... and nothing. :-(
 
it would probably be under ponyville, they're not listed as what they really are
 
Those clear ones are cuuuuute! And I don't usually like ponyville/g3.5s.

Now if they would only come in more characters other than the core 7. :(

Maybe if they sell well enough there will be a second set of them with the ponies from the new cartoon. Of course, the only bad thing is they'll probably have to change the molds so they can look like weird cat/deer hybrids with giant eyes like the do in the new cartoon.
 
I love the clear ones. I hope I can get them. I wonder who the third one will be.
