eBay Suspicious Auction

I jumped onto eBay to check out what was up with MLP sales and I came across something that looks a bit suspicious. I hate to accuse any seller of dishonesty and this could be just a crazy coincidence, but I figured I'd share with others and see what people think.

Anyway, there's a big lot of some 300 ponies (according to the description).
Huge My Little Pony Lot Selling Entire Collection Usa Ponys | eBay
The pictures are pretty blurry, but I was able to make out a lot of the ponies being sold. I didn't think much about this until I hit upon another auction.

My Little Pony Uk Pony Lot | eBay
What makes this suspicious is the fact that these are by two different sellers but if you look, the ponies in the UK lot happen to be ponies sold in the big lot - and they look to be in the same condition. Furthermore, both of these people live in the same location, both have only 2 feedbacks, both have the same type of auction description, both were posted using eBay Mobile and both even use the same gray plastic tote bin. Hmm.

I looked at what the seller of the UK lot is also selling and surprisingly, there are other lots of ponies that have matching ponies (in the same condition) in the big lot by a different seller.

(Another Example: My Little Pony Big Brother Pony | eBay - This looks a lot like the Barnacle in the large lot!)

Of course people can have the same ponies, or one seller can have duplicates, but something just doesn't sit well with all the similarities between these "two" sellers' ponies. It looks as if someone is auctioning the collection as one full lot, then breaking it up and posing as someone else to sell them in smaller lots.

I really hope I'm wrong about the sellers (or seller)! I like to try giving people the benefit of the doubt, but as I said before, something just doesn't sit well with me.

Hi, you may want to pop over to mlp arena as there is a thread in trader support about this seller.
I believe these two ebay sellers you mention are the same person. I would be very wary buying from her given her track record.
Hope this helps : )

correct. it's becoming known that those two sellers are the same person - and a very well known scammer.

Do NOT buy from this scammer, she has a record a decade old. The ponies she is selling are the same ponies she scammed MANY members out of over the years. If you can see that she's selling the same ponies on 2 different auctions, alert ebay immediately. That's not allowed.

I don't understand why hasn't someone reported her already if she is so well known as a scammer? Or is it that nothing has been done about it? Or does this person switch ids often?

She has been reported. The ball is in ebay's court now. But she has already relisted several ponies she already sold, so it's probably not long now.

This girl is BAD NEWS. Stay far away from her. Do not fall for her too-good-to-be-true auctions. They ARE too good to be true.

Yep I became wary of the one with the US collection when she was selling some crazy high dollar ponies like Nightlight with 0 feedback on her profile. No WAY I would bid on that!

Of all things to scam people for, why do people scam ponies? Out of all things. Seriously. It's really stupid. :p

Because a lot of this girl's ponies are quite expensive and can be sold for major profit. Especially since she didn't buy all of them (i.e, she stole them). It doesn't matter what the item is, if it can be sold for profit there are people out there who are willing to do it.

yeah they on going thread on the arena is also pretty insightful there are quite a few people she scammed from that have told what was stolen, so if you all can take a look and report when you can :)

Whats the point in making two lots of the same item? She could't keep that up for long could she? I would think people would figure out somethings wrong when they NEVER receive their item.

Wow...and there are 3 bids on this lot already! I wish there was a way to warn those bidders about her!

I haven't bought any ponies online yet but I have read a lot about her and her horrible ways. I look at those ponies in the links and it saddens me to think that their owners miss them and they'll never get them back. :/ i wish there was a way for all the people who got scammed by her to sue her and get their money and ponies back and put her in jail. you'd think paypal or ebay would notice that she's claimed items unreceived MULTIPLE times. I mean you need credit cards for paypal accounts right? surely she's not claiming item not received and asking for refunds all on the same paypal account and not getting caught right??? unless she steals other people's credit information and does it that way. i really hope she gets caught!! can't they even read her IP address? though there's probably a way to change it. i still vote everyone show up at her front door and demand their ponies back >_> even though that's impossible. i just feel so bad for everyone who lost ponies to her :( those poor things probably aren't even as loved as they were before. she just sees them as money bait.

upon looking closely at the items listed from both ID'S, if you look closely you can see the floor tiles are the same in pictures from both accounts. some pictures show ponies on the kitchen floor with a white tile on one account, and another account shows other items on the same floor. one account has the pictures taken in the kitchen, and the other has them taken from her room i assume.

well logically then we ought to all mass report her, if ebay gets a TON of messages pointing out that these two sellers (that they know is the same person as they have all her info) is double selling items they will respond much faster. So please report her then.

AHHHHK- I was not expecting to read this today......
always good to know.

I know, and it's sad, because she obviously has enough rare ponies and enough value of condition, worth, rareness, etc., that it seems like she is/was a pony collector at one time. So it feels worse that someone from the pony community is doing the scamming, but I guess this isn't the first time and probably won't be the last :nodno:

The only prob I can potentially see is that she does have ratings on both accounts. Now unless we assume that all of these ratings were done prior to the item shipping/arriving at destination then people are now getting their items I am of course assuming that all of those who have bought from her recently are not mirror type accounts but looking at the ratings of some of those who have left feedback I assume they are not.

For the record here I'm playing devil's advocate and I haven't read the posts on the arena.
