WTF does that mean??? The auction says something like, "cleaned, groomed, and sanitized." Does that mean they got a bath with antibacterial soap? Or does that mean they got dunked in bleach?????

Any ideas?

*coughdot100dogscough* I've always wondered what she does to "sanatize" her ponies. Well...I've always wondered what she does to her ponies in general.

Ugh, yes. I saw her auctions the other day and wondered how EVERY pony she sold could be mint-condition, and why she felt the need to put curls in them if they were mint. She's also selling her newborn twins seperately, and their accessories in yet another lot. That's just *mean*.

probably sprays em with lysol.

anyone sniff their ponies coming from her? lol

I would think (and hope) she just means she wipes them down w/ antibacterial. Like on a cotton ball or something. I do that whenever I get a lot of manky ponies, just to be on the safe side.

It probably just means she cleaned them with soap and water but the word "sanatized" sounds better to a mom with kids...though I doubt a mom would ever buy her mint ponies for a 2 yr old...who knows. She gets all these "mint" ponies in lots and sells the less than perfect ones in lots. But I wouldn't be surprised if she has another ebay id to buy them under cause I never see her bid on stuff.

I'm sorry, do you mean dunk them in hairspray :blah:

I've heard so many horror stories of stick, nasty sprayed hair from her for those "trademarked" curls that I refuse to buy from her *shudder* Hairspray and pony hair, NOT a good combo!

She CLAIMS to use only straws and water to Correctly Create her Curls. And seriously, she capitalizes the words like that. But I think they look sprayed... I very rarely buy ponies that claim to be mint, so I haven't DARED bid on one of hers.

Some of her ponies look really good...and others look really scary... Once I saw one of her auctions for a big brother with those horrible un-masculine curls..yuck!

yeah her Richard Simmons big brother ponies :icon_smile_lachuh:

I got a chuckie cheese pony from her and the hair was hard as a ROCK with hair spray. not to mention I had to SOAK it to get the film off its body from all the hair spray she used. I refuse to bid on her stuff. I used out bid the lots she bid on just because I was so ticked off at her. I'd snipe sometimes every single lot she was bidding on. She buys up lots of filthy ponies and sits home on evenings cleaning them up she told me. I'm like no you buy filthy ponies to just plain make money not because you enjoy pony collecting. that always burns my butt when I see that.

I've specifically asked her how she sanitizes her ponies. She ignored my message. I wasn't rude and was a big pony buyer, so there was no reason to not respond unless she's trying to hide something IMO.

I have heard of people use bleach or boiling ponies, which I guess sanitizes them. Rubbing alcohol or oxyclean could also be used. I suspect it's bleach since that was more common a few years back and what people consider sanitizing. Or who knows, I wouldn't be surprised if she uses lysol.

Wow! I'm glad this was posted. I've always admired her ponies, but could barely afford the starting bid price. I've been saving my pony budget for the harder to find (i.e. expensive) ponies, and wanted to bid on some of hers. Guess I'll just save my money and bid on somebody else's auctions. Thanks for the tips!

Wow...ignoring potential buyers is EXTREMELY rude. That's another mark in my book for her. I've heard that she has a snotty attitude as well, so it really doesn't surprise me.

Yeah, a while back she emailed me complaining that my auctions that have designer looks and color pages look and sound too much like hers and to quite copying hers...right. I also got a pony that I had purchased as a gift that took 10 washed just to get the hair spray out, it was claimed to be mint but I found marks, those curls were hiding the ponies frizz problem, and her forlock was cut...I did get a full refund and was able to keep the pony but still.

My favorite auctions of hers are the MINT "tan version" Cherry treats or the mint white hair TAF Yum Yum...

She must get quite a few questions about what she does to her ponies because the intro to her auctions keeps getting longer.

*Shameless Plug* I'll be listing some new gorgeous ponies later this week starting at a $0.01:)

Maybe she means she took them apart and totally cleaned them? Just a guess.

I just assumed that she wants to convey she thoroughly cleans the ponies, and so chose a stronger word, whether it means something else or not.

Sounds like you can eat off them or do sugery with them. I've seen her auctions but never wanted to bid. I usually stick to buying stuff here...especially when ebay is concerned.
