Dusting off the account! (And the ponies)

Boy it's been a while since I dropped off the face of the earth 10 years in fact!!!

Got my first full time job, got a boyfriend, moved out of my parents house...

Now I've been in the office for 10 years, have a husband, and my own house!

You know what that means? PONY ROOM TIME!! (OK, "collections" room, have to share with the husband and his Legos lol)

It's going to take a LONG time to get it where I want it to be. But step 1 is finding all the ponies (my Tunefull army is looking thinner than I remembered...) and deciding who gets to be displayed! (And who gets sold maybe??)

Welcome back! There’s many of us who are returning after a decade away, it’s neat to see! Having a whole collection room is exciting, look forward to seeing it develop!

ETA: I just noticed the Island Rainbow shelf… whoa! :surprisepony:

Yeah I've got a few armies :lolpony: Cheerilee/Cherry Blossom, Island Rainbow, Shady, and Tunefull (though I'm missing a TON of those and I can't see myself selling them off... They're in a box somewhere, I'm sure!)

I'm going to have to track down a good ID site because I don't remember most of the other names... I also need to go through my post history and try to figure out who is a custom and who is a variant!

Hello! Welcome back! I love your Frankie and Lagoona! Who are those furry puppy dog looking guys? They're so cute!
My Little Wiki is my resource for looking at G1 releases. MLP Merch has a sorting system (color, gimmick, etc) that helps me identify ponies I don't know the name of! I use them for G3 and G4 :happyhearts:

Thank you, I'm excited too! I think I'm gonna get some of those pantry risers to help make them easier to view...
 
Welcome back! I came back last year from something like a 17 year hiatus, with my ponies in storage most of that time. I guess I kept expecting we'd have to move at some point and I finally went, "I miss these colorful kids" and bought a glass-door cabinet to display as many as I could. Now I want to put more ponies out and they won't all fit in the cabinet so I'm not sure what to do, LOL.
It's so fun setting up a collection room! Enjoy the process!!

I really like Toysisters for pony IDs, and also mylittlewiki
 
Welcome back!! I'm literally in the process of dusting off my ponies too LOL got new carpet/paint in the pony room and had to move it all out so I've been dusting everything before putting it all back in and lemme tell you, it really is something you only want to do about every decade or so! Can't wait to see your room all finished up :) it's funny, my husband collects Lego too but I don't share my space LOL

I am so glad to hear that it sounds you are well and happy. Congrats on the husband and home! We bought a house (in AZ) in the fall which has caused me to start selling most of my collection because I know I won't have room to display as it should be. So, I'm downsizing.

Anyway, so glad to see you friend!

I've lurked a couple times the last few months and I really want to try to be more active ;~; slowly but surely!

It's been awesome seeing familiar names still around! (Love that Gingerbread's signature hasn't changed at all XD)

I'm wracking my brain... Did you change your username?

Same here!! <3 I was so worried when you disappeared for a while, I'm so glad to see you back in the community! Even better that things are going so well for you. :) I can't believe it's been more than a decade since we've seen each other. Every time I see a Tuneful, I think of you. Welcome back!
