Doodles (Updated June 8/20)

I’ve been painting with watercolour again. Here’s a couple I’ve done so far. Glory is unfinished, I will upload a photo of the finished work at a later date. I also have a few more but can’t share them quite yet. ;) Also I don’t know why the site is rotating Glory, but it is.

The colours and shading are lovely; i like how sparkly their eyes and the green pony's hair are!

Wow the shading on these is so nice, I’ve tried watercolor before but it always comes out so messy. I love how watercolors look when done right, like these two though :smile:

I actually learned a lot of watercolour techniques by watching a lot of YouTube videos. Then I just took out the old pallets and started trying things. I’m already finding things I like better but I’m basically going to fill my whole sketch book up with ponies to practice on. :)

Nice :D YouTube is always a good teacher. That sounds like a fun sketchbook, I hope you’ll share some more of them with us when you do!

Update: Since @BabyNightmare got her pony mail I can finally share a photo of the completed Glory work. I’m rather happy with how this came out. There’s sparkles on her symbol and in the background and stars as well. It was just hard to photograph the sparkles.
