Customs gone horribly, terribly wrong

I accidentally baited a perfectly good Windy magic message pony. Turns out, that while dawn dish soap is fine for most ponies, it will melt the symbol off of a message pony. MELT! It makes since when you think about it, it fights grease, What might make that magic message symbol work, but a grease based paint.... but alas I didn't think about that.

Also, Melted the flutter part of a flutter pony. turns out that plastic doesn't take heat well. At All. No boil, no oven for flutter ponies!

She actually looks like a zombie pony so happy accident? :) my first pony I tried to restore was a poor beat up baby surprise. Her symbols were a mess so I was going to remove them with acetone then just repaint them, but somehow I ended up getting some on one of her eyes... So they had to come off... At least I got some practice at painting pony eyes that day. Glad you started this thread! we all make mistakes and it's great to learn (and laugh) from them. :D

A customs gone wrong thread, I love it! First off, I am so glad you kept your now melted pony and gave her a new life anyway. Waste not want not! :)
I too have a custom gone wrong story, I had painted a lovely little McDonalds pony(which I later went on to make a full sized pony of) using some spray paints that were running empty. Feeling satisfied with how she came out I left her on a windowsill in my room to dry. Sadly I lived with small children at the time and one gained access into my shut room, saw the pony and since she was only two. Decided it would make for a good snack. I came in to find my pony had most her paint sucked clean off her and drool all over her! The two year old was fine, no poisoning luckily. But with no more spray paint left I did go into a little panic and grabbed the first can of paint I had and tried to fix her. People if this happens to you, do NOT attempt to fix the pony until you are nice and calm again, as I only made her so so much worse. Her paint job is completely ruined now. I still have her, maybe one day I will strip all the paint and start over, for now she just sits on the shelf with the other ponies.

Who said that ponies tasted bad? Or rainbows? :)

This is my worst pony. I named her Mercury for her symbol. She began as a lovely dark green pony. I put sculpey on her, but I forgot to bake her. I then removed the sculpey to find it ruining the plastic. I painted over it, but goo leaked through. this was the best I could do. :madpony:

I needed only the ears from this pony, and so she was forever destined to be a parts pony until... I had to test some hybrid paints that I had mixed. I needed to see how the paint would function when applied to raw pony form, and I knew this little filly was the gal for the job. When my 6 year old daughter saw the color she said, "Cool! You made a changeling! Can you make one for me?" And thus a new custom was born.

She would make an amazing zombie... half rotted already?
