So far all of the customs I've done have been for personal experimentation or custom swaps. Star Dust is the first custom I've done with the intent to sell so I hope that you all like him.
Stardust Started life as an extremely baity custom. He came to me in a lot over a year ago. Here is how he looked when he arrived.
After spending time to remove all of the white paint I discovered that this poor boy was actually a baity Quarter Back (I think).
So the poor boy has sat in my bait box for almost a year until I was finally hit with an idea and Star Dust was born.
He has recieved a full body repaint in several layers and colors; metalic blue, bronze, copper, gold, navy blue and blue. I think that this gives him a lot of depth, kind of like the night sky. He was then completely sealed with a matte sealer.
His stars were painted with gold metalic acrylics and accented with copper.
The large star on his display side is the North Star and the rest of the stars make up the big and little dippers.
The stars on his non-display side is the constellation Equuleus or The Foal (rather fitting I thought).
Star Dust was then given a fine spatter of metalic copper and his hooves were also painted with the same copper paint.
His eyes are painted gold to match his stars and he was not given any lashes so as to make him appear more masculine. They were then sealed with a high gloss varnish.
Star Dust was rehaired with saran hair from Dolly hair in a custom blend of 24K Blonde and Copper Blonde. This was my first time working with saran hair and I have to say the stuff is beautiful. The color is so gorgeous, it matches the gold stars perfectly.
Here he is, presenting Star Dust...
