I'll tell you what I think after I pick up my jaw and grab a napkin.

I WANT ONE! So bad! So so so so bad! Oh man that is just AWESOME. Should sell these you should, hahaha. Or even better, send your man up to Hasbro's design team.

(Whipes Technofilly's face) Stay calm babes, these will be for sale in the future, Simon is just working on them, wants to do that they're sorted befoe he sales them:)

that pony is sooooooooooo *gets up and shows with arms* cooooool!!!
wish my fiance would make cool stuff like that:p

Wow thanks guys, my fiance thanks you too:)

Simon (the fiance) is just working out some kinks, and then if there's interest, then he says he'll sale them.

They're likely to be sold for about £30 each, as this is how much all the materials to make one of these comes to:)

I've also done this....

with silicon rubber....

how much is the stuff you use? I can get it at my school for cheaper probably! The total cost (including the same clear resin) to make is about $25 CND.

I'm excited to do another (mind you, I used the paintable ponies....they had a base all filled in, no undercuts! and mine is a G1)

I should put up my pictures too ( did ones in clear resin and a brown resin too, which I really liked and suggedst you try because its cheaper, paintable and sandable!) hahaha...and wax...

pony candles!!!

I'm curious, what type of resin do you use? is it a clear vinyl or urethane rubber or a polyester or bisphenol-a epoxy? For each of the resins you can get viscosity or gelling modifiers that you can add which will allow you to suspend items in it like glitter, or you can pour half of it, let it firm up, and then drop an item in it and finish the pour.

I might be interested in getting one without any hair, or I may just make my own.

That is simply the MOST epic thing I have ever seen!:D *makes grabby hands* I totally want one now.

I wonder if a unicorn of pegsi will turn out as well as the earth one did...?

Hi Fortuna, yeah my partner is looking into getting some different stuff, think like the stuff you mentioned, as the stuff he currently has isn't that great. As to what typr of resin, not entirely sure, as the packaging for it is at his nans (he lives with my family, but there's nowhere to do casting:))

Wow, thanks so much for the advise, I'll 100% have a go at it:)

Brilliant!

Aww thanks everyone for being so nice, and giving some great feedbacks on this, my fiance is so happy that everyone likes these, he says that it makes doing this worth while:)xx

I also forgot to warn you:

if you are taking a direct cast of the pony, technically you are violating their copyright laws.....not even technically....you ARE violating them

When I did my cast in class, I HAD to change the original (even if its the smallest little thing) so that I could sell my work without being sued

You really can get into a LOT of trouble selling what you have.....so please take this seriously.
Your fiance should of known that as a caster!

I want to cast G1 ponies, but again, unless I modify the original I can NOT sell them for profit without a HUGE risk of being sued...

That is so cool and I'd totally want one!

I've got an idea for you guys. Why not mix in some of the glow in the dark stuff with it. Like those little stars and stuff and rehair it with the glow in the dark hair. Now that would be cool too. ;)

Another idea I had, since they seem to have an ice theme to them. Why not take one of your practice ones that you are working on to make clear, that has a frost look to it, add furry feet painted with whites and super light blue and paint some icey looking eyes on him and add probably that light daquiri colored hair from dollyhair.com. Can you see where i'm going with this. Ahh! It's a thought and a way to recycle the practice ones. :)

All of the ideas everyone has sounds cool, but even the totally clear one does too!

Guess I'm going to hop on the waiting list too. ^_^v Hopefully with the suggestions from everyone, you'll find a way to use a better material and bring down your production costs.

So. COOL. O_____O I love it!! I've always wanted something like that. I would love a regular sized pony, or even a Ponyville!! Great work. :D

That totally rocks! I voted yes but only because I like it a lot, I don't really have the money right now to buy one.

That definitely *IS* awesome... wow, what a great idea!!!! :D
