Making a set for Darklys. One is a satyr and I have a dryad that I haven't started on yet.

Unfortunately the clay for these horns turned out to be too weak, so back to the drawing board! I have three types of yarn to use, two textured and one normal one with iridescent tinsel through it.

Ooh! Interesting stuff, it’s looking cute so far!

Of course, I am to follow this thread for updates. It is the law
 
Oh they are going to love them! Great progress so far. I can't wait to see how they turn out!!
 
OK, so... the satyr is getting a coating of primer. The dryad is a silver birch, so I have made the effect of birch bark using a strange putty from a tube. It's more of a filler, but I am liking the effect.

I am considering making the eyes less ponyish and maybe all black or all white.

I think the horns looks lovely. I especially like the texture you've given them.
 
I think they look great. That is how symmetry is in nature. Nothing can be perfect, but they are perfect for that pony creature. How is the balance when you put on the head?

I think it kind of works because of the way the pose flows... but I will see.

The bark texture whilst white right now remind me of clouds. I think you’ve done a great job!

As for the horns, I think they’re fine. In a wood, no two branches are the same. Not sure if the same can be said for horns but I think they look really good right now. The head is tilted so I can see why you may be unhappy about those at the minute
 
I love all the different textures I’m seeing.
 
And I pulled the horn off the satyr cos it was bugging me XD
