Collectibles: Who has Top Shelf Priority?

When it comes to collectible toys, figurines, curios etc. what stuff has top shelf priority? And who has to hope they get some shelf space? Lol

My Model horses have top shelf priority, they line my closet shelf and have a lone cabinet all for themselves.

My Ponies take up part of my bookshelf but of course share it with books and various knick knacks people have bought for me over the years.

Various knick knacks include anything from a purple "marble" dolphin from Sea World, unicorns, a glow-in-the-dark Buddha to my Chinese Zodiac sign, a Piggy.

Action Figures have to share bookshelf space, atm they include two Classic Mega Man Robot Masters Elec Man and Shadow Man and two Decepticons a very small Ratbat and Skywarp and I am eagerly awaiting a custom Monster High doll Fairy Leviathan

My Skylanders collection is pretty big but they don't get shelf space. They've got a nice big box to hang out in
 
All my baby ponies are on the top shelf because the top shelf is so small, so that's all that will fit.
 
My Deathlok the Demolisher collection gets top shelf treatment because everything was expensive. Nothing is too good for my undead cybernetic killing machine!
 
Top shelf so far goes to gifts or customs that friends have made me along with my Nightmare Before Christmas stuffehs
 
My top shelf Hold the GODFATHER of my Toys a 1981 Sears Tigger I got when I was 2 days old. He has been very very very well loved. He as been repaired a million times and looks like Frankenstein stuff animals. However non of the other toys would dare go against the oldest wises and the favorite of my toys. Yes I have not grown out of the toys come to life at night mode. Though I don't think they would killed me now lol.
Other then him mostly my older toys that I have had forever ponies Transformers each.
 
My top shelf has a mix of Sky Dancers, Iron Maiden memorabilia, and my celestial/ocean ponies. They get top priority over the other ponies. Just don't tell them that!

I also just found my Captain Planet doll that's been missing for two months. He's riding Glory on the top shelf. I'm so happy! :lolpony:

I dont have top shelves, but I would say my ponies and drawings
 
In our household, top shelf goes to my husbands more expensive Star Wars items that need to stay far far away from grabby little toddler fingers. For now my ponies take bottom shelf--I don't have anyone rare yet and they are sturdy enough that should my son manage to grab one he can't instantly demolish her.
 
If we had shelves and we had to share them, top shelf would go to my boyfriend's collector's/limited edition games and figurines. Everything I own is in boxes at the moment, so even bottom shelf would be a step up. I'm hoping that one day when we move out together we'll each have our own shelves for our collections.
 
My ponies are in all over shelves. They just get babies and babies ;) I do not have much ponies but my shelves are full :(. And I need to keep them in one room (for some reason no one wants them in living room etc.) So I'm lacking space -.- (I need a bigger room!:D). Unfortunately I can't prioritize whats goes top and whats not because the small space... I need to put ponies everywhere where is space for them :p.
 
all my euro exclusive ponies I mainly only has three now Bon Bon HoneyComb, and Tutti Fruttie *the jury is still out on secert tale*

You don't wanna know how many yaoi doujinshi I have of those three (and my fave, Zax/Zack) in various different combinations. Such dreamy, dreamy boys.

Those are mid shelf though. Where I can find 'em easy. :D

Oh my gosh and I'm so sorry @Leave a Whisper I never posted the pic :( I'll get the pic up late this afternoon. Sorry for being such a butt!
