Celtic Knots for Hindsight (St. Patrick's Day Swap)

I'm calling the pony Celtic Knots (because my history with making names, as we all know, is dismal XD) Hindsight is welcome to dub her whatever she pleases =)

Hindsight had a short list of likes, what stood out to me was celtic knots and shamrocks. So I did some googling and came up with a horse celtic knot symbol (yes, it's a horse =P) Cause I figure... if you like My Little Pony... you have to like horses on /some/ level, right?
And all the information I could find associated horses with the moon, so I did a Midnight Blue full body repaint and then toyed around with colors for a while.. I wanted to keep her Blue/White/Silver but I decided that was no fun for a St. Patrick's Pony so I tweaked my concept a little to get the green in =)

And then I remembered I hate this pose because the pony's forehead is so MASSIVE so I went googling for a celtic knot style shamrock.
The green and silver paints are both metallic, so she's very shiny =)

Hair is a blend of (new) Lucky Clover, Starlight, and Nickel.

I think that's everything... -shifty eyes-
 
Yeah I guess it is XD I'll fully admit to it not being my design though! lol
Although maybe it's just... holding it's own leg? With it's mouth... cause it can? lol

He he :) Alot of celtic animal designs have appendages in strange places. And she's beautiful Ristvak! I envy the knot work (I can't even copy them most of the time)

It's the colors, they rock together! The pictures do her no justice, its such a nice shade of blue & it picks up the other colors so nicely. :) Can you tell I love this pony?
You did one heck of a job on the symbols as well.

OH COME ON NOW!!! You're just taunting me with these gorgeous ponies your custom making. She looks awesome and I'm deeply envious. Of course, it might have something to do with me being Irish that I love these works. With the up coming holiday of course, it seems to have made this theme a bit popular lately for customs. It's going to be a hard withdraw period for the next 11 months until I get to see more again... :(
