ok, not the tidiest bunch of girls, but a really good fins at the carboot today.
Found out its sweet berry from a set with ivy...

What are these carboot sales, exactly? I always hear so much about them around mlptp!

carboot sales are just that-people gather together,paying a set fee to sell whatever they bring with them in the back of their car,and then people...well,buy it XD They're becoming more like markets where I live now though-the fees are getting too much for regular car boot sellers to sell,in favour of attempting to deter the regular 'traders' and counterfeit sellers from selling there :\ theres less and less carbooters every year,which is sad.

anyway,great find! I wish my pony finds were that good,but unfortunately(or fortunately depending how you look at it lol) theres another collector in my area who goes to the same bootsales,and always seems to get up earlier than me >> I need to set my alarm for 6am or something XD
 
It's a UK thing. ^_^ From the way my UK friends talk about "boot sales" I think they sound really cool. There are computer ones, too.

I think the closest we would have would be an outdoor fleamarket. There used to be one around Barrie, in Ontario.
 
thats it right on the head, you fill ur car up with stuff take a table and sell it in a field :)

There were a who bunch of G3 but the woman wanted a £ each for them, and i dont think they were nething special.....
 
what part of England are you from? I need to raid your local carboot sale XD nah,just kidding,hehe
 
ooh,great site ^^ I'm down in Essex and have a car boot down the road Wednesdays,one 15mins away on Saturdays and one about half an hour away on a sunday,so plenty I can get to ^^ as I said though,I have competition-I noticed the ponies had been 'picked through' even before I met another collector at one of my local boot sales XD methinks there are ebay resellers on the loose!
 
Oh boy, what great finds you have there!! Did you find the annual(?) in the back as well? Are the other two books as well? :) Major congrats!
 
Yeah I found the 1999 anual, and got 2 dvds as well!
 
Oooh Great Finds! I never seem to find G1 Ponies at Carboot Sales anymore :(

No ponys I ever get from the boots look tidy, always *hedge backwards* comes to mind.

Yeah same here, I think someone goes around and gets most of the ponies before me :) The usual G1's I find are usually hidden away in bags and i've just gotten lucky. although its still worth it. Last year I got a MIB G1 kitchen with two MIP babies inside, for £3! so they are still out there.

Now if I could only get some luck in the charity shops :D
