Canadian MLP Fair

Canada? Sounds like a good idea! I'm not far away, and I'd much rather do Canada than drive all the way to Las Vegas.

I said it before on the Arena and I'll say it again here. I'm interested in this event and would go. If you need help or volunteers for your staff, I'd love to help how I can.
 
I really love the response we are getting so far guys! We are so excited to be putting this together. We have a few people now helping with organizing and have had a generous offer from mummymeadowsweet from the UK Ponycon Committee to help with getting fund raising going. Our plan is to get things going for 2009.

thanks for the offer hun. I am keeping a running tally of who is offering to help and we will definitely be needing volunteers for the actual running of the convention, such as doors, contest panels, raffles...that sort of thing.
 
This is looking Really good so far.... I'm starting to get Really excited about the possibility of the fair being in Canada!!!

Can't wait to find out more details as they emerge.
I would love to help out with the fair but can't this year... maybe in 2010 i'll be of more use... (schedule too busy now)

Plus this will be a good excuse to explore the rest of canada... lol

I'm from the US, but if it was held in Montreal, I would be in!
 
As with the MLP Fair, everyone wants it close to them so its easy to addend ;)

I would still like to see it alternate locations so everyone has a chance to go at some point, as well as visit different parts of Canada. Toronto would probably be a good starting spot, but it would be neat to eventually have ones at Montreal, Edmonton, Vancouver and Halifax.

I'd like to help out but I'm pretty busy this year (plus I'm still in Kelowna, not Vancouver yet) but year after this one I'd like to see what I could do to help ^^

hi guys. yep, if we do it on the East end this year, we will be headed out west for the following year. I'll add both of you to my notebook so we don't forget about about you for 2010!

I'd be willing to do some price checking around these parts for you guys, if that would help....

I would just need approximate dates (like month would probably work!), how much room you were looking at reserving, etc. Having never been to a fair, I have no idea what to ask!!
 
I'm in the states, but I think a Canadian fair is a great idea! I'm not too far from the Canadian border, so if it's ever in the southeastern part of Canada, it might be drivable for me. Even if I can't go, I love the idea of more people getting to attend a fair!

If you ever need website or artwork help I'd like to volunteer. If the meet ever ends up in Vancouver one year, I please request that it doesn't conflict with Anime Evolution ;)
 
wow i just came upon this thread,great idea,But yes i like the east coast, cause a few of us are in Nova scotia.But maybe 2010 be a better date then we can save up lots of money and book things well in advance,
I pitch a big tent we can have it in my back yard.yippy.
