Can I see some monochrome characters? Ponies like Angel, Butterscotch etc. No fancy stripey friends here! :butters::medley:

All we need is one colour!

I just love Blossom’s lavender color, it’s so soft. :purpleheart:

I love monochrome ponies! That's probably the reason why I have so many.

The first one is Princess Pearl. This is the only pony I really regret selling on here some time ago. She was a childhood pony and I miss her so much, she was in pristine condition. A friend sent me this Pearl as a replacement, but it's not the same really.

Then a few others I would label monochrome:

IMGP6584.JPG IMGP6650.JPG IMGP7334.jpg IMGP7659.JPG IMGP8002.JPG

IMGP8007.JPG IMGP9369.JPG IMGP9443.JPG IMGP9669.JPG

I also have a non-vintage G1 (HQG1C) that fits into the monochrome category:

IMGP7197.JPG

This lovely zebra is striped, but it's her symbol so to speak, no stripey mane, so I'll smuggle her in.

IMGP0395.JPG

I'm not sure if these count to be honest. Butterfly Pony has a yellow body but blonde hair (I've read that they gave her doll hair), and the others' hair is a shade darker than the body, but I'll still show them.

So many of my faves here! I will join you in our sadness of losing Princess Pearl :( Mine had a specific factory error, so any other Pearl will be different to me.

Ah yes, that makes her even more special then. I'm sorry you're also missing yours. :(

Oh, I've just realised I cheated - March Daffodil has a multicoloured mane. Sorry, that wasn't intentional. I'll remove her.

EDIT: aah, there were even more ponies with a striped mane, I must have been blind. I've now removed all the impostors from my post.

I'm surprised you don't have even more of the sweetheart sisters! I didn't think about it until seeing this but a lot of them are monotone.
Otherwise, can you please tell me who that lovely yellow pony with yellow hair and an ice cream pop-up mark is?! • ᵕ •✿

Also yeah that story about Princess Pearl hurts. I'm so sorry that turned out that way, I understand how you feel.

I'll have to see about some of my monotone ponies, later! I don't have a particular love for monotone ponies (except maybe pure white), but I've ended up with a good number of them~

I do have more Sweetheart Sisters, and I've realised I've indeed forgotten one that belongs to the monochrome kind ha ha:

The yellow pony is Butter Kiss (or Swirly Whirly in the US). She's a beloved childhood pony. There is another version of her with teal hair:

I can't wait to see your monochrome collection! :D

Ohh, I see! Butter Kiss/Swirly Whirly has a much prettier shade of yellow in your photo than on MLPMerch or MyLittleWiki. It does kinda look like those two have some funny lighting going on though. Thank you for sharing! I've added her to my wishlist! :blueheart:

Oh yes, I see what you mean. On MLW she almost looks a bit neon yellow while on MLPMerch she looks a bit too dark. I really like her shade of yellow, it's a lovely lighter shade of yellow. This is her in a natural light, outside in the sun:

I still own my childhood USA Swirly Whirly in near mint condition and I can attest, she is a lovely pony. I wish her name had been Butterscotch and Butterscotch’s name had been something else, actually butterfly-related! :D Her pose is a resculpt of collector’s pose but it feels quite different, in a way that I like. And her ice-cream scent is soooooo nostalgic.

Here are some of my (what I call) monochrome bebbies:

She's SCENTED?! Does this mean that mean all of the Sundae Best ponies are scented?! Or were. I have two of Sherbet and didn't notice a scent on either. Checking again there's a slight sweet smell left on one, but I'm not sure if that's it or if it's from the previous owner.

Your "monochrome bhbbies" are beautiful hehe :D

Yes, I think they were all scented. My childhood ponies Banana Surprise, Butter Kiss and Chocolate Chip all still have that lovely scent that takes me back to those days. I also have Pepoermint Crunch who I aquired in adulthood but she doesn't smell any more.
