Have you ever bought a pony and regretted it intensely? As in, the quality has been awful, or something else, and you just hate yourself and it for existing?

I bought an Applejack as Mistress Mare-velous brushable today. It's... awful. It's too expensive, comes with no accessories, has a crappy neck joint and terrible hair, and I hate her so much.

Did you find it in a store, or did you pay ebay/taobao prices? I'm sorry to hear that she isn't in very good shape. It makes me sad to hear also because this is a mane six set I was really considering picking up. But if the quality isn't good, then perhaps I'll save the money for some G2 or G3's on my wish list.

I bought her in-store for £6.99. Which is £2 more than what regular brushables retail as. Still too much for something that comes without accessories and with a crappy paint job.
Her hair is a teeny bit better than the previous set, but her neck joint is atrocious. It spins if you so much as look at it. :/ I do still want the other Power Ponies, but I'm definitely going to wait until they go way down in price.

It's not up to me to decide what you do with your money, but personally I'd either wait until they're on clearance or skip them entirely.

Well, I don't buy g4 because their quality disappointed me with the first release. So, I said no more g4. I sold what I had and said I would not buy them ever again. I did like the blind bads and mini figures though. They are not a must have. To say I hate something is hard for me. I can't say I have had that strong of a feeling over a pony.

Well I bought that Sweet Stuff and she had a bad mane cut and was rife with age spots. I felt unhappy with her for a while every time I looked at her and I noticed my unhappy emotions fed into the pony and gave her that funky feeling. But my daughter was pestering me to have her early, so I got her hair all silky and her tail brushed and braided and she got a full body repaint to hide those unsightly spots and now I feel better looking at her and my daughter enjoys playing with her and the pony no longer has that funky feeling because she is back to being played with.

I also felt that way about my two G4s. I tried to like them, but frizzy hair that won't play nice regardless of conditioning and brushing and those un-horse-like bird beak faces just depressed me, especially since I displayed them with my older gen ponies, and all that I love about horsie figures just made the differences worse. So I gave Lyra to my kid and Diamond Mint to charity where they will be with someone who loves and appreciates them and never again will I buy G4 for myself, but at least I can say I gave it a shot.

I have had ponies come to me that were not like they were described. My biggest pet peeve is when I buy a pony that I was told had no hair cut and it arrives with plugs missing and a section of hair shorter than the rest of the mane.

I bought a G4 Diamond Mint water cutie, but the resin(?) in her body is all wonky and wrong meaning the water and glitter only go halfway into her body and then really obviously stop. I didn't realise in the shop at the time but it bugs me every time i look at her
