Best way to audiobook?

I want to get into audiobooks while I work on stuff. I don't really want to eat up my phones battery on that, so is there a device I can use?

Does your phone use a lot of charge when you listen to music? I use Audibles through my phone, but it doesn't go through the charge any more than anything else I do.
