Beetlejuice has always been one of my favorite dark comedy movies. When I would come home from school I would always watch the cartoon, even if it was a repeat. He is a sort of combination between the movie and cartoon version. His bootie mark is a sandworm, modeled off of the movie not the cartoon version. For some reason I had a ghost of a time photographing him, mostly because all that black and white. These photos are from the 3rd shoot, but I still think he looks much better in person.

OH no you did not!! You did not!!! I gotta have him!!! *grabby hands* Wow, you just love out doing yourself don't you?? This pony rulz. Totally rulz. I love Beetlejuice, it was one of my first dvd's. Ha ha ha. Great job, once again, I always look forward to your custom posts. So kewl. :2232:

I have all but one of the cartoon set from BK, but I'm still looking for that one even though I'm not going out of my way to find it. That's so funny and oddly flattering that you thought of my pony. :wickedwitch:

Very nice and I have seen some of your other customs on here. So when are you doing Lord of Darkness from Legend?
 
ParadisePalms - Oh, no don't die! It's only a custom. Not to be nit-picky or anything, but do you call everyone dudes? If thats the case great, otherwise just so you know I'm a dudette.

SwiftStar84 - Ya know I just thought about him like a week ago. But for some reason I thought someone already made a custom of him. I'll have to dig to know for sure.

LOL ya I call everyone dude LOL online and irl ^__^ that was just a really excited one ^_^ LOL but ya my two most overused words are dude and awesome.....^________________^ but no seriously you have some awesome artwork ^^ I saw you on DA before you came here to the TP :D I was hoping you'd show up here ^________________^

I have lurked on this site for years and I have never seen one done. Years ago the closest thing I saw was a Mimic used for a base for something that looked a little like him. It was cool but that was the closest I have ever seen.
 
hehehe, eat your heart out Micheal Keaton, here is what you look like as a pony! That is a funny piece. I just keep thinking about that scene of BeetleJuice stuck down in the model of town after he wrecked the little truck and the um scratching. And Gena Davis unzipping her mouth to say BeetleJuice 3 times.

You really do have fun with these scary movie/suspense/horror movie icons don't you? They really are great.
 
ParadisePalms - Yeah I have been lurking here for a while, and finally decided to take the plunge. And calling me dude is cool with me, I just didn't want to give off the wrong impression.

SwiftStar84 - I must have been mistaken then, or maybe it was a dream. He's going on my list of to dos. I googled an image of him and I didn't realize how detailed his clothing is, it looks like it'll be fun to do.

SailorLibra - Yep I do love scary things. I don't know if Keaton would appreciate his pony persona though, hehe.

When I was 10 I was obssed with Beetlejuice, you catched his charisma.





If I not mistaked, I remenber seein the lord of darkness custom in the arena.

I used the seach buttom, but I didn't find him.

Maybe if you ask there you can find the artist.

Sapphire-Light - Yep, I used the search function too and got nada. So I took your advice and placed a thread at the arena. Even if I do find that someone already did him, I might do him again with those detailed clothes.

sam234uk - Every time you mention ebay it makes me really want to try and put a custom up there. It's just I'm nervous of what the outcome could be. I've never sold on ebay, and have heard some horror stories. Like them not selling, or going for some ridiculously low price. Anyone got any words of encouragement or hints for me?

Yeah, even if someone did it before, it dosen't have to stop your will.

I did a Gaara custom from Naruto, and they where like 3 before me.

And remenber the tons of Captain Sparrow customs.
 
Yeah, but who can blame all those Sparrow customs. All I need is some wire mesh so those horns wouldn't be as heavy as they look.
 
I think you would be surprised at how well these customs would sell if you posted them on ebay especially at this time of year. Yeah Darkness has a lot of details to him. So I wish you luck with doing him and when the time comes for his arrival in the boards I'm gonna pay attention to every detail. ;) Don't worry I've only done one custom ever so I won't be hard on you.
 
I know just how you feel, but I am talentless, you on the other hand could make quite a little industry I feel, maybe if you started with something that didn't take too much work? That way if it didn't go as high as you liked you could chalk it up to experience and just sell to commission bidders on the boards?
I have so much faith in you though, not since Nightlight have I thought there was so much talent on the TP.
 
Awsome! There are quite a few talented sculptors at the boards these days, true true.

I'm loving the Beetlejuice custom - I didn't think anyone remembered the cartoon anymore!
