Hello everyone!
I wasn't active here much before but I would like to get back into it
I recently started doing fanart for my little pony again, and I thought to reconnect to some of the websites I used to frequent. (I may make a thread about it later once I gather a few more arts for it, as well as give G1-G3 ponies a go since I remember LOVING everyone's color palettes and designs (and hey, if you have a suggestion, feel free to shoot me a conversation about it!)
I signed up for MLPTP back in 2017 (looking back at my few dated posts I thought to myself "wow! 3 years ago?" no, 2017 was NOT 3 years ago...I have no time comprehension, haha. Hoping to get back into chatting with peeps here and maybe make some friends as well!
As a quick refresher about me, I'm from Romania and I've been interested in horses (and thereby ponies) since I can remember being somewhat aware of my consciousness. Funnily enough we didn't have horses growing up, but what seems to be my 'horse girl' breakthrough was sitting on the back of a horse for about 30 seconds during a kindergarten trip to some farm that I can barely recall. Since then I was HOOKED! Unfortunately things are a little rough in regards to taking horse riding lessons casually but the times that I was able to, they were so very fun. I do want to have my own couple horses in the future (I technically have the space for them but I do not live there at the moment) though it's a little daunting to think about how much work goes into acquiring and training a horse to be ride-able without any issues. But I have high hopes nonetheless!
As for the ponies themselves, I watched them on TV way after G1 ended (think 2004+ since that's when I recall seeing them airing) and some G3 on TV but I did most of the watching online by that point. By the time G4 went on TV I was already way caught up with it on the web and even watched livestreams of it online! (And subsequently realized the horror of 2 mid-roll ads during a 20 minute kids show episode. Incomprehensible to me when only movies/tv shows have ads here and the kids channels are left alone during episodes / movies.) I stopped watching TV for a long while now and I will say the pony content is much more fulfilling online. I have recently gotten into the newest series and I find myself quite enjoying it! (I did not watch the 2D specials though as the style is a little off-putting for me, but maybe one day I'll get to it) Though making fanart for 3d characters and trying to color pick directly from the movie sprites isn't exactly the easiest thing to do.
Unsure if anyone here is into any of the other games but I do also enjoy League of Legends, Genshin and Honkai Impact 3 (as does most of the youth these days, I'd say)
