Guest, The MLPTP's Fundraiser and Prize Giveaway will be returning on June 1st! Check out this thread for all the latest news!
I definitely wouldn’t personally want to reroot because seeing them without their hair is a little scary haha. Do you think for people who have successfully rerooted her that the colors would be pretty much the same?since she only had one release I would assume that they all have the same hair fiber and therefore the same issues, unfortunately
Rerooting ponies is really easy though so you could definitely try that out! And if you don’t want to do it yourself there’s lots of other pony people who sell rehaired ponies and would probably be happy to do her for you!
Hair collection as a color swatches!Though it looks like Alstroemeria has already got you covered there
Thank you! Do you think it’s kind of pointless to buy her now given that her hair will probably fall out sometime soon?I’ve gotten two, one who had cut hair and paint stains and was pretty baity so I turned her into my Gregory custom, the other still has her hair but it’s fragile due to the polypropylene. Unfortunately there isn’t really much you can do, but there are plenty I’ve seen who still have their hair, you just gotta treat it with care and be careful not to brush it too hard.
Rerooting might sound scary but once you learn how to do it it can be really fun. It’s not for everyone but if you ever found a Romperoonie with hair loss, you could easily fix it and get something like nylon hair which is a lot stronger than polypropylene. There are a bunch of different site you can get hair from (My fave is Shimmerlocks, though I’ve seen other pony people use Restoredoll, my little custom, Dollyhair, ect.) If you ever needed help picking hair colors, I could probably offer up some recommendations since I got one haha. Though it looks like Alstroemeria has already got you covered there
Is yours showing any signs of falling out? What’s the first thing to look out for when it starts?Mine still has hair, but the colors match up to some from shimmerlocks. The pink looks to match their color Heartthrob 2.0, the pale orange looks like Cantaloupe, and the white is just a plain white.
That's just a comparison to the hair I have.
From my experience at least, ponies hair wont really fall out Unless you pull on it. It will happen to weak polypropylene hair if you comb it too much for example. I’ve had ponies with especially bad hair have it rip from even the gentlest combs. But if I just leave them sitting on the shelf or gently carry the pony around with me without messing with her hair at all, it’s fine and doesn’t do anything to the hair reallyThank you! Oh! That’s really good to know actually! I thought it just fell out by itself. I have friendship ball gem blososm who is fine. I don’t pull on her hair or anything, but the base of her tail is really hard? Idk if that means it’s startingFrom my experience at least, ponies hair wont really fall out Unless you pull on it.
