LOL! I have to admit that Glory is my favorite out of this bunch- and she was completely a spur of the moment, I want to make Baby Rarity, so I bought a Rarity for her hair, made her in a week...... so it's completely a surprise to me how much I like her!

WAAAAAAH! I adore Glory and Sparkler! Of course, they're all neat, but those two really, really make me cheerful. *nods*

I *need* to see Gypsy!! k, maybe not need but I really want to see her! I really like Sparkler. These are awsome and how can you get them done so fast! *stares at her dehaired Rainbowdash awaiting a new look* le sigh, I just can't find the time.

thank goodness for the rehairing tool, that's what I must say! :eek:k: (and with the exception of Glory, I've been working on these for MONTHS! :) )

Those are so AWESOME!! You just made my day. Please let us know when you have time for commissions...I don't normally commission customs, but I simply must have a giant G1.

Do you airbrush their bodies or brush? I haven't worked on any customs in years...I always had trouble getting the body paint even and smooth, since I don't have an airbrush.

I will definitely announce when I'm open again :) I just got "commissioned" by my mother in law to make four family customs, and am still finishing up two commissions, but I'm hoping to be open for business again in August :)

I airbrush my ponies- I don't have enough patience for doing full body repaints by hand.... I funded my current airbrush set up (airbrush and compressor) by selling some of my Nirvana ponies at the Kansas City pony meet ;)

re

AWESOME they are all so cool :)
i agree you must show off the gypsy whenever she is done
i really like glory too she is cute
man you must go through a lot of hair too for them :)

Are you entering them into contests at the fair? I can't wait to see them--you should sell one to me--or raffle one off....... :D

;) a couple of them will be entered into contests...all of them will be for sale (although one may already be spoken for).... a raffle is definitely a neat idea though- will have to think that one over!

just wanted to add- I just spent a fortune to ship a 27 pound box to San Francisco- guaranteed to arrive by Friday....I'm nearly having a panic attack now since all these girls (plus all customs, my portfolios, and all my sale ponies) are out of my hands....hope they stay safe!

May I ask what kind of paint you use?? I tried an airbrush but the paint keep dripping off the pony. Messy!! The paint didn't brush on nice either, got all sticky.

*crosses her fingers that the ponies make it safely to San Fransico and those beautiful ponies don't get lost in the mail*

I wish I could see them in person but alas I'm not attending the fair.

yup. I use Createx airbrush paints- I have a suspicion that if the paint has been dripping off for you that you've been trying to get the pony all painted in one layer- airbrush paints work best in thin layers- up to about 5 layers actually :) I find the biggest difficulty I have is waiting for the layers to dry- I'm impatient ;)

That was fast!! Yeah, that could be the problem as well, I'm not very patient! Though I didn't know that it's better to airbrush with layers so thanks for that tidbit. I'll have to give it another go here and see if that helps. Thanks muchly!! Have fun in San Fran!!

thanks :) I was freaked out the first few times I airbrushed- I couldn't believe the splotchy look it had at first would ever smooth out...but that is the beauty of multiple layers!
