Those are so cute! The midnight castle set ponies are the hard figures with brushable tails right?


So I didn’t get ponies, BUT I did get a friend
(there were more Pokémon with the Appletun but they’re the highlight of the day)

I got a My Pretty Pony with her original hat!!! She has some cut hair and her lever doesn’t work but I don’t care, I think shes soooo cool
(AN EDIT: i was under the impression her lever didnt work anymore. I was wrong. I just wasnt pulling it the right way XD )

I also got some cute ponywear (the bunny pocket pal one!) and some wonderfully baity ponies (g4 and g3) who I can’t wait to restore Not attaching photos of all of them but I am most excited about the baity g3s



I’ve been having a really rough holiday due to some family issues but ponies seem to make everything better, even if just for a bit. I got cool non pony related gifts too (Cool moth earrings and a moth in a frame, Pokepark, Sonic the hedgehog and Jet the hawk on remote controlled skateboard toys, the FNAF cookbook, all things I love so much )

I don't have any pictures of the ponies on their own right now, but I have this picture from this morning where you can see them!!! I got a Tinkatoo (I think?) plush and the rainbow celebration set (my favourite present!) - I love the Rainbow Dash SO SO MUCH shes my favourite pony so I'd love her either way but like, the expression she has is so funny I love it hahaha, and the Minty is awesome as well she has WAY more hair than I was expecting, its so fun!!

Technically I bought Posty and Near and Deer myself. Sunny is from a friend. The 3 ornaments are from the Ornament Swap. Stickers & artwork are extra gifts from the Ornament & Holiday Card Swaps (not including the cards or artwork on the cards themselves.) I had a pretty pony-riffic holiday.

Last night we played our traditional blind bag chaos game and the Mini Brands ball had a pony in it!! So that was a fun and unexpected start to Christmas.


Having an adult daughter with an adult job and adult money means that I get ponies now, lol. She got me the 4 Earth Ponies and my son got the other three. Snuzzle & Minty complete that set and Sky Rocket completes the twinkle eyes!


This one made me cry. In 2009 I sold several valuable pieces of my collection in order to buy Christmas gifts for my kids. Of the ponies I sold my only big regret was a MIB Snowflake. I kept her MIB knowing that I’d probably have to sell her so I knew if I ever got her again I’d open her and enjoy her. So yeah, when I saw that my daughter had gotten her for me I cried, then opened her and I’ve been playing with her hair and hood all day.

Oh wow, this is my first time seeing a my pretty pony and they look so cute! What does the lever do? The bunny onesie is cute as well (can you tell I use cute a lot?) and I like the kitchen tablecloth pattern on the ears. In terms of restoring ponies, how difficult is it? I’d like to restore some of my ponies from when I was a kid but I don’t know where to start.
I don’t know what you’re going through, but I’m glad you’re able to find solace in something. Ponies help me a little bit too when things are awful.

Yeah thats a Tink-a-Too plush! The plushies are simple but so cute. I don’t know anything about g5, but the set looks interesting. I like the styled hair and how detailed the wings are.

Ahh Posty is so cute! I’ve been looking at hqg1c ponies (that’s what they’re called right?) and Near and Dear is such a beautiful pony, I’d love to get them someday. I’ve been looking at the holiday swaps as well, everyone is so creative and thoughtful with the gifts they give! The stickers and cards here are super cute.

I didn’t know mini brands had ponies, I wonder if you could take them out of the package? I remember getting a mcd‘s littlest pet shop and getting my dad to cut it off from the stand so I could use it as a regular lps. The repro ponies are so great, reproducing the twinkle eyed ponies was the best decision basic fun has made. Though I wish they made a repro of Mimic so that people would have a much cheaper version of them. But then again, I know that some people would try to buy all of them to resell them at a higher price online, so I can kind of understand why that doesn’t exist. But they still should do it so people have a chance at getting Mimic. I’m sorry you had to sell your collection, but I’m happy you’ve been reunited with Snowflake!

I’ve never seen those shirts before, are they new? I really like that Halloween pony, looks they’re a twice as fancy pony too! I wonder why Halloween is represented by those colors, that and green?

Not MLP but pony related, I got Maple Stirrup for my Strawberry Shortcake collection!

She was quite dirty and has a good bit of ingrained dirt, but I really don’t mind. I’m just so happy to have her. She is getting a spa day.

i got what i'd think to be a pretty good send off for a year that's been a bit slow for collecting- a new G3 ornament to match a previous one i got, Tulip Twinkle, G3 Fluttershy and a MIB frilly frocks boutique with Breezie & Cherry Blossom!! it's been so long since i had the boutique & opening it MIB was so exciting! just like being a kid again. fluttershy & tulip twinkle are two G3's i've had my eye on for awhile and they're perfect. just need to clean them all up a bit

The lever makes the eyes wink, the ears wiggle and the tail wag (although the tail on mine doesn’t move much lol), you can see a video of it here!

The difficultly of Restoring ponies really depends on the level of restoration you’re doing and the person. I personally don’t find restoring very hard at all (in fact it’s one of my most favorite hobbies!) but I also know some people struggle with it more than others, which is perfectly okay too! I think the easiest restorations are things like cleaning out rust, sunfading marker stains, ect. While things like rehairing a pony, restoring cutiemarks or restoring broken body parts are a little more advanced. But once you learn how to do it, it isn’t too hard to do at all! At least for me. Again, varies from person to person. I love rehairing while my boyfriend finds it very tedious and more hard to do, so it will really just depend!

If you wanna learn about restoration techniques, I think the MLP Preservation project is a great place to start, and also I have a ton of hopefully helpful links to restoration resources on my website here (sorry it wont work well on mobile lol). I hope that you can help your childhood ponies!

My in-laws got me the petite pony Carousel! And it works!

I put a Butterscotch from my collection in my daughter's stocking - she has been all about the first 6 ponies since reading the anniversary comic. She was thrilled to get one!
