Any ideas on taming taffetas tinsel hair?

How bad is it? Do you have pictures we can see?

I usually brush out, untangle by hand... then you can use HOT water to get it straight again OR use a straightening iron at it lowest setting and quickly run over the hair. I strongly caution on the latter if you don’t have a lot of experience with straightening pony hair, it can burn or melt easy if not careful.
 
I don’t think I want to use heat, too scary! I brushed it out using conditioner and it looks a little better, still not great. I guess I’m looking for a magic wand
 
Well first, you hafta chart out planetary alignments and moon cycles accordingly. Then you hafta grab the flat iron, conditioner, pony and incense before starting the magic spell...


Seriously though, Starlight Studios sells reproduction princess pony clips on ebay. So you might try her.
 
Hmm it’s hard to tell, is that a large knot at the top or is the tinsel cut?

Tinsel is annoying that’s for sure but with time and a ship load of patience you can untangle that mess. Also start at the ends and work your way back to the roots.

As a last resort you could take out the tinsel and just reroot it. D:
 
I’m thinking I’ll probably sell her, she’s pretty but I think I’d rather sell her and buy more applejacks.
 
Hey you know tinsel for xmas trees? You could practice with heat on that to perfect your technique before trying on Princess. I think she looks kind of punk cool right now though
 
If you have time and tweezers, grab each tinsel individually and gently stretch each strand downwards. It definitely works. Just don't pull too hard!
