well I am moving, but I always have to do a weekly run to the flea market and i decided to go to some thrift stores.

Anyway flea markets was kinda toyless today :-(.. But.. I managed to go through a box and there she was

Caramel Crunch! My g1 luck is awesome for some reason lol.

Anyway.. Right after I left the flea market.. I walk into this HUGE thift store..

No ponies in sight.. As I'm walking towards like a cafe thing that they have in there( werid to have a cafe in a thrift store..) There was a little play area, and there it was!!! another original MLP item!

Home Sweet Home Stable!!


Then I drove to a Good Will store about 5 min away..
I found 8 more ponies. All newer ones.. Here's ones that I can remember

I should just stop buying ponies in the stores because eventually they'll be at the thrift shops in my area... hopefully ><.

Nice finds! At that rate, you NEVER have to buy from the big stores.

You'r not that far from me; your Goodwills have toys? All the ones in my area throw all the toys they get out.

Really? My Goodwills have toys, but the only "pony" I've ever seen was a G3 fakie type thing.

well, I know what you are saying.. They don't actually throw them out.. I was at a thrift store a few cities away from mine, and they said they ship all the toys out of Haiti. I think thats great that they do that, but I wish they would take the ponies out for me lol. For all you kno in Haiti, there could be like Rapunzels everywhere :-\.

I usually find my ponies at Flae Markets.. The good will store by my house (opened a few weeks ago), i've only found MLP playsets.. They seem to be everywhere.. I don't buy those unless it's original.

Anyway, Today I found a MINT G1 Braided Beauty..

Also two MLP shoes G1 as well.. They are clear with silver glitter in them.. I think they go to the astronaut pony wear.. I couldn't find it tho in the big heap of toys :-\

ooo braided beauty is so pretty, thats a good find, now a days, if you find anything consider yourself lucky. This has been an excellent year for me :)

yes it has been for you!! And it seems other collectors are finding some good stuff as well. All around the same time period of years 8-10!! I think those have been the hardest to find year ponies for a while now.. and I believe they will get more common over the next year..
Last year, I did find more ponies... But this year , I was more into the g3 series then anything, so I stopped going to my flea markets (I opened my eyes and said I don't need g3's they do nothing for me!!)I found atleast 200 original ponies (this was around spring cleaning time 2005). but my friend at the time collected them so she bought half and i bought half..

I must admit the g1 ponies down here are common.. If anyone is having trouble, I know how it feels.. They use to be scarce around here for years!!! I hope to find a TAF baby or Rapunzel!! If i wake up in the morning on sat and say "I'm feeling lucky" in my head... I usually find something good :)..


I have been g1 pony crazy.. I just bought on ebay another baby Clipper as an upgrade for my other one.. But I kick myself now, because I like finding my US ponies at flea markets.. I also bought some lots from the UK, with european ponies I need such as Gypsy, Cherry Sweet etc.. I had all them years back but I sold them, do to lack of money..

Are European ponies getting cheaper or is it just me? I remember they would go for like $25-50 each.. no they go for like $5 or under.

Gosh, you are so lucky you even find playsets at Goodwill. I hope to find ponies sometime when I go there. I have to drive almost two hours to get to the closest flea market, so I don't go every weekend. I will probably go the week after next... Maybe. :D

But I get SO disappointed when I don't find anything. =/
 
yeah I agree your really lucky to find playsets, I used to go to goodwill EVERYDAY when I lived with my dad. (there are no goodwills here at all, and all the thrift stores here SUCK and are far away)

you can always trade G1s for G3s!!!
 
just my luck!

well, everyone at my work knows about my pony obsession.. So, a few co-workers told me they had some.. And one actually brought some in for me and gave them to me for free! (They said they have more but they have to look for them in boxes!)

so anyway tonight at work I got..

Li'l giggles? (I think that's her name, purple teenie tiny pony wiht blue hair)
Dibbles or Nibbles (peach one)
Pink baby Ember

Sweetkisses pony (white one - It's late i'm having brain farts lol!)

Also a girl at work told me she has paradise estates and a ton of ponies (but they are in ohio).. She said she will get it shipped to me if I pay shipping! I hope I can get it!

lucky, I tried that at work AND school, everyones parents threw them away :(
 
Those of you who find toys, especially MLPs, are lucky. And you are also lucky that you have such stores close by. Ours are about 5 miles away and not on my way at all, so I hardly visit them now.

I checked thrift stores a few times in the past and also our huge flea market, but it seems that all the toys are gone. I think they are weeded by eBay sellers. :(
Not long ago, maybe 2-3 yrs ago, there used to be many toys.

there aren't much toys in my area either.. usually you go to the goodwill or thrift stores and they are loaded.. It seems that they only get them in during holiday time and that's it.. I was told they aren't profitable in those type of stores anymore.

thursday finds

I am the only one finding ponies pretty much everytime i go out? lol

anyway today at the flea market..

I found
G3 Wysteria no2
G3 Target baby (the purple tropical one)
G3 Triple Treat no2
MIB sunnydaze
(no g1 ponies there today... I left a bunch of mcdonalds ponies behind)
Best find at the flea market was a
G1 MLP VHS (the first episode, came with original case and all!)


then I went to a thrift store and I saw a Serendipity, but they wouldn't part her from the bag she was in. I wasn't willing to spend $4.00 on one pony(especially for a g3)


After a few more goodwill/thrift shops..
