Let's teach 'em that previous gens are still beautiful!
Hello! I wanted to show you guys some of my art and photography. I am low on followers on Flickr and Tumblr and Instagram. It seems that older generations of ponies and collector blogs, pages, ect. have lost their mojo. :/ If it's not G4, they don't even click it. I would like to connect with people who appreciate this stuff!
What I also find unappreciated is traditional artwork. I find it easier and cheaper than digital, but nowadays it's MORE G4! MORE DIGITAL! Ew, we use vectors now. >_< grrr. So let's share some of our own photography and art portraying the beauty in all gens.
First, I'll share a sketch of G4 Pinkie pie. It was a request made by an Instagram follower (I do free art requests there). It's of Pinkie pie gone goth, emo, punk, whatever the kids are calling it these days! I call her
Gothie Pie
I feel that pencil sketch is an unappreciated art form.
She Will, She Will, Sock You.
and here is my G3 Minty, sorta in a G4 art style, sorta in my own anime-esque style. I duno, it was just a doodle on the back of my summer school homework a few weeks ago. (I'm not a failure! Im getting ahead for senior year!) haha! Yes, I fancy bad puns. "She will, she will, sock you" is the title of this peice. Oh, Minty, Minty, Minty! Who dosen't love Minty? She's so adorkable! However, she is looking quite bad-*** here. You go girl!....er..pony.
This one has a little bit of a geeky story behind it.
It's of G1 Cotton Candy in G4 style.
Many Bronies who are not familiar with G1, immediantly think Surprize was the original Pinkie Pie. Lauren Faust's original concept for G4 pinkie was surprize, but pinkie pie was not inspired, created, or derived from Surprize. Growing up, I always saw Cotton Candy as Pinkie's long lost relative. So here's cotton candy as pinkie. Yes, I know cotton candy should remind me of g3 cotton candy, but I try not to question my childhood logic.
Here's Princess Rarity, entranced by a binder-paper hole. Again, this was a homework doodle.
and G4 Rarity...a request. An odd one at that. She wanted Rarity squeezing the crap out of a boquet of mushrooms with scared faces, as she makes a super happy face.
Sweet
Here's some of my photography, simply titled, "Sweet". Why? It's sweet! Ponies are sweet, being sweet to Sweetberry, by giving her sweets.
Lean on Me
Beauty and the Beast
Blending in
Dainty Dove's Slumber Party
Tickled Pink
Simply, Adorkable.
Sunny Daze Ahead
Be proud, Stand out from the crowd.
Makeover
