I have an announcement regarding next year when I hold this contest again. I have decided to split it into three levels based on experience with this program. This is to make it so more people have the chance to win.

Levels will be as follows:

Level 1: Advanced
Level 2: Intermediate
Level 3: Beginner

I can't guarantee that each level will have three prizes each, however. It will depend on a variety of things. :)

Details about the contest:

*All entries must be made entirely in Microsoft Paint.
*No tablets allowed! This is a new rule - all entries must be made with Microsoft Paint + a computer mouse.
*Obviously - all entries must be MLP related. G1, G2, and G3 ponies are all allowed as well as persona ponies.
*New rule - your entry must have a background (made by you) of some kind.
*One entry per person.
*I will be uploading all of the entries to photobucket so all entries must follow photobucket’s file size rules. File sizes must be no larger than 1024x768 resolution and equal 1MB or less.
*Save your entry how you want to save it as long as it is fits within the size range listed above. Be aware that how you save your entry could play a factor in whether or not people will vote for you! I strongly suggest saving your entry as a .png
*When the time comes to vote I ask you to please not vote for your own entry.
*Will accept entries from anywhere in the world - so yes, I will definitely ship prizes worldwide if someone outside the U.S. happens to win one.
*There will be prizes awarded for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. Prizes are to be determined - but won’t be anything too terribly extravagant.
*Contest will be held across both the MLP Arena and the MLPTP.

I wish I had all of the wonderful entries from previous years stored on this computer to show everyone but unfortunately I do not.

i'll give it a go, i started off doing artwork on paint and it would be good to have a go again, to be honest i still rely on my mouse when photoshoping!!!

Well, I can't draw, so people might think a 4 year old drew it, or that maybe it's a bunny or something, but I think I'll give it a shot.

well not sure if this is where the enteries are ment to go, or if your even doing it, but here is my entry, all doen with a mouse and on microsoft paint just as the rules stated, it has been a while since i used it..

it's my Celeste and she's busy making consterlations in the night sky (doesn't match up to the last winner you had which was amazing!!)

HeavyHooves - Wow, that's awesome!! You did a great job! And you got it done SO fast too! Anything I do in paint takes me days to finish usually lol.

Just to let everyone know (I should have posted this with the general rules of the contest) I will be having all of the entries either PM'ed to me here or e-mailed to me. Then I will upload the images to photobucket so that they will all be in one place for people to check out. :)

But I'm still not sure if this is going to happen or not - so I will wait to put up my e-mail address when I know for sure. ;)

I'm also considering having a general theme for all entries... so please hold off on starting until I've made the announcement. :biggrin: Thanks!

Looks like this will probably be a go! :D It'll be a couple of weeks for me to get everything organized and figure out what prizes I want to award (and make sure I have enough $$ to ship the prizes too, hehe).

I think I'd like to try too. :) I'm nowhere near as good as a lot of people, but I always like to get practice in and see what others can do with Paint. (^^,)
 
Yes, this will most definitely still be happening! I just started a new job so I've been really busy... and now at least I know for sure that I'll have enough $ to ship prizes and such.

There will in fact be a theme for this contest... I've narrowed it down to two choices: Romance or Halloween. Romance because I'm a huge fan of the boy ponies and would love to see how everyone would interpret them (although I know there are and that I would allow other types of pairings besides boy/girl. ;) ). Halloween because it's coming up so quickly - and it's my favorite Holiday!

I'd love to hear thoughts from you all on which theme you'd prefer. :D
 
I prefer the halloween one:) Look at cute baby ponies in costumes!:p
 
You should make a poll to see what people would rather do; Halloween or Romance.
Much quicker to get a response that way, rather than waiting for everyone to respond in the thread.

Probably get a few more people interested in the contest as well....
I know when I see the 'poll icon' in any thread, I always check it out!

I'd love for a MS Paint contest! I'm bad at drawing in MS Paint but, I'll take a chance at it :)
