A few G4s (Luna, Starbeam Twinkle, etc.)

Alright, there's nothing too exciting here. Just a few of the G4 ponies I've acquired.

I wanted to show them because I know some of you are wondering about the new Luna and the Starbeam Twinkle... I think that's her name. I can never remember her name!

Anyway, I've tried to display them in the box Starbeam Twinkle and Shine Bright Twilight Sparkle came in. It looks alright, I guess. Not brilliant, but decent.

Here's Rarity with her new best friend, Starbeam Twinkle. She's a pretty cute unicorn. You may not be able to tell from the pictures, but she has two different shades of aqua in her hair.

Here's a close-up of Shine Bright Twilight Sparkle. I like her, I just wish her horn lit up in blue instead of red. Then it'd be like she's doing magic, just like on the show!
She came with that scepter, and I have attached it with one of those clear hairbands. I could do better, but it'll work for now.

You know those twisted portions of hair that some of the G4s come with? I've just left it as I'm afraid to take it out for fear of what it'll look like. However, I just attach it to their leg with a clear hair tie to keep it out of the way and from untwisting. Meh, I could do better, but oh well.

Here's Luna. I really like her a lot. I didn't do much with her- just braided her tail and swished her hair around to the front, securing with the star barrette she comes with.

Then here are some kind of badly done buns I put on Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash for lack of a better hair-do.

Let me know what you think. Any suggestions on hair styles? I do want to go the route of boiling water to straighten the bangs, and may chop RD's hair, but for now I'm just leaving everything for the most part like it came, just done up a bit.

Oh wow! They all look so cute together

Although I ADORE the hair on G4s - so soft and silky! - I leave the hair elastics in too, for fear of crazy, twisty box hair. Now I'm afraid the elastics will ruin their hair over time so I think I'll have to restyle I have found though, that their tails curl REALLY easily just wrapped around their hind legs!

So cute! And I think you shouldn't chop any hair. I've always been against scissors and pony hair meeting.

I find styling G4 hair way less intimidating than G3s. The G3s had more hair, and took more know-how and time. The G4s just don't have much, so I can spend a minute or two just playing around with it. It's fun!

I've styled nearly all of my G4 ponies and I must admit that I'm worlds happier with them the way they are now as opposed to the way they looked when they came out of the package. I even went so far as to rehair my Rainbow Dash to be true to the show and she's been my #1 adventure pony since Mimic disappeared. Speaking of which, I'm still so absolutely shattered about that... my Mimic meant everything to me. She even came to Prom with me... sigh.

1. Wish ponies were getting to my area faster! I JUST found Lilly Blossom lol

josiekat! You keep your ponies MIB? I never knew that! Hey, I understand. There are some ponies I want to debox so badly but just can't bring myself to do it! But it can be really fun to have them loose in hand too! It's a hard decision we make as collectors, that's for sure!


Wow, Sonic Rainboom, your RD looks awesome! I need to cut mine's hair now. Totally cool. Also, where did you get that awesome hat for AJ? I neeeeeed it!

I've been keeping most of mine boxed too, though mostly to keep them tidy until I'm ready to do something with them. So far I only have a FS Rarity and a regular RBD unpacked, plus the gift pack (no hair to get mussed).
