$86 for Red Roses!?

Well, I'd say that Red Roses is probably the most sought-after of the Perfume Puffs. But still, that's a little too much. From the bidding history, it looks like two newbies were having a bidding war, and then someone else stepped in and bid even more. Strange...
 
Her price seems to be over 30 most of the time.. $86?? A new high maybe? :wow1:
 
hopefully that was just a silly bidding war, cause if she's going for that much on a regular basis now it's safe to say I will not be getting her!
 
makes me glad i have her my my childhood ponies now! she one of my fav thats for sure! yeah that must meen kar stocks and shares have risen too! lol
 
Red Roses is being "Mimicked." When I joined the pony community in 1997, she was worth the same as all the other Perfume Puffs. (Like, $5.) It wasn't a popular set, pretty much down there with the BBEs and Dance 'n Prance ponies. But a lot of people like yellow ponies. So she appeared on more and more want lists . . . and her price began to inch upwards . . .

She regularly goes for over $50 now, I believe. $85 is higher than normal . . . but for how long? She's one of the ponies I see on want lists most frequently; with that kind of demand I wouldn't be surprised if her average price continued to climb.
 
Yikes that's a whole lot of money. I hope I can score her at a flea market somewhere.
 
Oh man, there goes *that* "grail" out of reach. T.T I still haven't gotten over the shock of (impulse bid) paying $30++ for one pony once. :violin:
 
She's not worth that much. That had to be a bidding war. There's still hope if you need her, ladies! She pops up sometimes in big lots with BINs so you can get her cheaper. :)

I can't remember how I got my RR, but I know I didn't pay much for her. Come to think of it, I think I actually got her in a lot with other ponies I was looking for at the time lol

LOL! That's how I got mine - she was in a lot of 5 ponies for a BIN of $25. I couldn't hit the BIN button fast enough! She's NM and smells like an old lady. :)

I tend to agree with that. I bought my NM girl BIN on Ebay for $9.99 and I hadn't been collecting that long. I sold one earlier this year for pushing $50 and she's been sunfaded to remove pink marks (although she did turn out lovely even if I do say so myself :p )

When I started collecting Icey didn't go for the amount he does now either . . .

Definately she's not really rare or anything so she pops up a bit! Last one that went through my hands came in a lot from Ebay Aust I paid like AUST $14 and another lot popped up the next week with her again :)
