2005 MLP Fair in the news

hmmmm... yes. Dan Best is my husband and was unaware his name would be posted on the internet in association with this event. :? When he asked the reporter said only in MN, would people be able to read this.

How sweet of them...

Sorry, Slug. :( He wouldn't give me any details about the article before it was printed. I didn't realize my real name would be posted along with my online name, shoulda. I feel kinda weird about it, to tell the truth, like my safe haven's been violated now that my s/n is out there with my real name. I guess now my whole town will know about my obsession, not like they didn't already. Okay, I shouldn't complain because I'm stoked they did a feature on us, but  I dunno. I'm kinda halfway between really excited and weirded out LOL

Awww, I'm sorry about that Spottedslug; I can see where you (and your hubby) wouldn't be too happy about that.

Aside from the usage of names, I thought it was a really neat article. So cool to have our hobby validated in the US press. :D

Re:

Well, the article could have been better edited, but it was the most positive news article I have yet read about us.

Sorry my initial reaction was negative. We were both just a little shocked that he'd been lied to about the availablity of the press.

The article itself seems nicely written and thank you very much for posting it. :) I was honestly afraid the press might have made MLP collectors sound nuts, but it really, like others have said, seems very positive.

ponies in the news? totally cool...don't mean to barge in on this thread, but I was watching wrestling last night, and even a WWE superstar mentioned mlp's! I couldn't help but scream 'yes! he's awesome!' and tell my ma :D

I saw that too! And it's not the first time they've made fun of Jerico cause he was on I love the 80's strikes back with the MLP's, lol.

"I figure, if it makes her happy, I don't have any problem with it," he said. "I mean, it's just a toy. It's not like she's collecting severed fingers or something."

This quote is priceless. Next time my husband complains about my ponies, I'm telling this to him, roflmao!
