Hey! never posted here before but been lurking for a bit. Had a pony question pop up and I figured you guys would be the best to answer it.
I collected MLP's as a kid. By "collect" I mean I was one of those children who tore them out of the box, drew on them with ballpoint pen, cut their hair, and otherwise abuse them. I have no idea what happened to most of them (if I ever find them, I'll probably offer them up to you as custom bait), but 2 managed to escape my wrath. After some research, I found out they were Dainty and Flowerburst, from the Sweetheart Sisters line.
Now, I have NO idea how rare these ponies are, or what they would be worth if they were in good condition, which they really aren't. They're not damaged, but they're dirty and smudged and their hair needs washing & detangling, so with some love they could be display worthy. But they don't have their boxes or brushes or hair ribbons. Earrings are still in tact though.
(I'm sure the hard-core ones here will know who I'm talking about, but for those like me who may not know every pony by name, the ones I'm refering to are the pink & blue ones up top)
I like them, and in all honestly I've been wanting to give customizing a try and would love to do it on these 2 because I love the look of the slender ponies. However, I don't want to do that to potentially valuable ponies that a collector would want and end up getting hanged for it!
So I guess what I'm asking is what the status of these 2 particular ponies are, if customizing them is out of the question or not, or if I'm better off cleaning them up & putting them up on eBay or even up for sale here, without their accessories & box.
Thanks! Your input is very much appreciated. [/img]
