I have a German baby lemon drop with what appears to be two spots of cancer on her nose. I've had her almost three years with no change. Every other pony, especially boys, that I had with cancer previously had it spread or grow during the time I owned them. Does this mean baby lemon drop doesn't actually have cancer? Is it in remission? I'm rather confounded.

Just because it hasn't spread doesn't mean it's not pony cancer. There are certain conditions that can encourage its spread on a pony, including higher heat and humidity. Maybe Baby Lemondrop has been kept in better conditions for longer than other ponies you've received. (Also, pony cancer will not spread from one pony to another: PSA).

Thanks. :) I knew it wouldn't spread. The boys may have had more climate changes since baby lemon drop was always inside my case.

Ha ha that is cute...she is in remission. I like that. I actually have never seen cancer grow on my ponies. The few I have that have a cancer spot keep that one spot and never get any more. The one thing my ponies do get is a sudden head and body mismatch, and regrind they never had before. Ponies are like fabric. You buy a vintage doll outfit that is covered in brown spots which are age spots. You wash it in oxyclean and it is just like new. You put in in the doll clothes box. You open it a year later and all the age spots are back again. Ponies remind me of this. You can bleach and treat, scrub and use a flame thrower but if there was a flaw there before it will show up again when you least expect it and new diseases appear. If we could store our ponies in an airtight container with no oxygen whatsoever that would insure they never get many of these conditions if they didn't have them to begin with.

I recommend antibiotics round with aspirin for Lemon Drop for a total of 2 weeks. Mind you she may have scars but at least she will be over the ponyeasles. baaaaaaa

I rather thought you knew it wouldn't spread from pony to pony but I feel like it needs mentioning every time a question on age spots comes up. It's a stubborn myth that hangs around the community.

I think it's definitely worth mentioning. It was one of my first questions when I started collecting the g1's. :)
