I'm super excited! I'm going to my very first anime convention this weekend!

I know I'm going to spend too much money, but I'm super duper excited!

im trying to think if i wanna dress cute aka my candy dress, or if i just wanna go comfy lol
 
You should get dressed up! A lot of people go all out in these conventions. My friend made me get dressed up. I had to fight my way into Photobucket to get the images, but because of the changes, the image quality is HORRIBLE.

That’s awesome! I bet it’ll be tons of fun :D the first one I went to was pretty tiny but amazing
I’d say definitely dress up but go for comfy shoes!

If I were to dress up, it would be this, with tights and tennis shoes instead lol and possibly a sun hat, but that’s about it

I hope you have a great time! I'm celebrating my 10th coniversary this year, there's a lot to love about these events. Don't forget to stay hydrated! It's easy to get worn out!

Different cons, though I have a couple that I do annually. This WOULD be my tenth consecutive DragonCon, which was also my first con, but then a funny thing happened in 2020 that made shoving a bunch of sweaty nerds into an enclosed space a bad idea. This year, as last year, they've got updated health and safety protocols, of course. I've worked my face masks into my costumes as central to my getup for an extra creative touch.

Ohh nice! I always thought dragoncon sounded awesome! (I totally wanted to go back in 2010 I think when Anne McCaffrey was there). Heh yeah, the local con I go to still isn’t sure if they’re gonna be able to do it this year cause of that :/
And ohh that’s cool that you matched your mask to the costume!
