Summer Photo Hunt Chatter Thread

Looks like we aren’t going to make it. All the neighbors are mowing in anticipation of rain tonight. My girl’s allergies are like a hoof to the head. :(
Is there a way you can use a window and a candle?

and worse case = there is a way to make marhsmallows

I was going to try, but most of the recipes take 6+ hours

Thanks for the suggestion, though!

Who else ate their s'more afterward? (Yes, I washed Pinkie Pie before inserting and took her out before eating. :lolpony: )
I didn't cause I didn't think to wash AJ beforehand. I will make more to eat at some point. However, microwave s'mores are less delicious than open fire s'mores.

ActionHank better after he tried burning the marshmallows all over the stove with his fire starter!

He stuffed them in the microwave then but they didn't wanna melt, they just kept expanding and deflating. He finally got a few to be gooey enough for a pic. :D

I saw tonight many labors of love...and gooeyness. :winkpony: :lolpony:

The Hankster managed to start a fire in the backyard, which was miraculous, as it's poured for two days. He had to steal hamster bedding to burn. Three or four cats came to watch, but none managed to photo bomb him, how I dunno.

i used a toaster oven to broil/brown the marshmallows - only had the tiny ones I use for making rice-krispie treats (yeah that is a total american thing = cereal stuck together using butter and marshmallow goo...) - and I am still debating whether to eat such "artwork" so it's in the fridge (sans MLP)

OMG I am glad I am not the only one wondering if a cat is gonna act all "terrible giant" curious and try to walk into camp

Haha, yes, three of my four cats were also veeery interested in what the hell we are doing outside after dark in the garden, one of them had to sniff at everything we set up outside and pushed one of the ponies from her stone (where she was standing on next to the stove), so I was really hoping they wouldn't walk into my long-exposure, but somehow they decided to behave, phew! :lolpony:

I clearly need to learn y'all how to make a city girl s'more. If you can't get outside over an open flame, or even have time to start up the grill and use that for the marshmallow toasting, then DON'T use the microwave! It just makes 'em rubbery and weird! lol Next time you need a toasty marshmallow for a snack, just spear it onto a fork, and hold it over a medium-high heat burner on your stove! You will get a nice toasted outside while you rotate the fork to all angles and the insides will get ooey-gooey. You're welcome. :satisfied: :winkpony:

Once me and my mom wanted to toast marshmallows but it was winter so too cold outside. We turned the oven on broil and opened it up, stuck our marshmallows on sticks and toasted away :) it wasn’t as toasty as a campfire but it worked

That is exactly what I did because I couldn't make a fire in the rain yesterday.

There has also been a tonne of rain out where I live, not only is it making outdoors stuff hard it also makes it so humid you feel like your melting.
