Your first pony

From when I was younger, my first pony was Cotton Candy G1. I had to share her with my sister. I think that Bowtie was my second G1.

My first G3 ponies (I started collecting them in 2007), were Rainbow Dash and Strawberry Surprise from the 25th Birthday.:daisy:
 
My first was Baby Tappy who I was bought when I was about 2 at the fantastic Toymaster in Tavistock that was still selling G1's into the late 90's. Some how she still has her original curl. :surprise: Then came Yo-Yo and the other Newborns who also still have their original curl. After the Newborns came the First Tooth Babies (some of which my brother bought and then said were his just so I could have the set bought all at the same time since they were going for cheap without accessories), then I'm not certain. I think the two Perfume Puff's (my Nana was fascinated by them so I was younger than four) and the Sundae Best ponies, Sanddigger, Gingerbread (Molasses for those here who aren't Brits ;)). After that they came thick and fast and I've no idea, Majesty and Dream Castle were pretty early and I remember my parents coming back from Toy fairs with random ponies and buildings. My Grandpa used to joke that they all made piles of manure over his rug when ever we went to visit. :D

I still have them all, I'll post pics in a couple of weeks when I get back to the Uk, four weeks and counting. :)
 
My first pony was the Fancy Mermaid Pony, Baby Pearly. My sister had the purple one and we would play for hours in the bath with them. In the end, mum threw them out because they grew mould and they hair went ratty (if only she'd kept them for a bit longer, I could have fixed them up :p).
 
I was given a bunch of ponies by my cousin and sister at around age 3. I still have a few of my originals. Here's a photo of some of my very firsts; Heart Throb, Minty, and Pinwheel.

cant really remember, but it was either my pretty pony peachy for christmas when i was like 3 or 4 years old or baby surprise i got for my birthday when i was 4, which would be before the christmas.
 
My very first pony was SS Buttons. I got her when I was somewhere between 3 and 5 - I have no clue, but I remember buying her, and where she came from!

My brother got his first pony that day too - SS Wind Whistler. Still have them both, though they're a little worse for wear by now. ;)
 
I had a lot of secondhand ponies as a kid, but the only one I distinctly remember begging my parents to buy me was...wait for it...Tuneful! (No surprises there, right?) She was just so beautiful, with that exotic dark blue skin, handfuls of thick orange hair, and a guitar. What more could one want?

As an adult, after losing my entire collection, the first pony I reclaimed was Seaflower...and then another Tuneful very soon after. Both are practically minty, if not for the initials PS inscribed upon Tuneful's back. But she rocks them, as I would expect any guitar-playing pony to. lol
 
I don't remember. I think it was Starshine. I still have her from when I was a kid. She's definitely seen better days but doesn't mean I love her less!
 
My first pony was Ivy..xD I no longer have her..T.T But I shall replace her someday. :D
 
My first pony was Star Catcher, and I was 20. XD I totally missed out on the very first years. I finally found out why: My dad said they were dorky and both he and my mother were to not buy them. >.> It wasn't until my step sister got some for her 6th birthday (when I was 20) that I started wanting ponies. Last September or October my husband and I went to an estate sale and we found 4 G1 MLP, (actually I saw some SS but had not clue until I got home that I left two 50 cent SS's because I didn't know and couldn't find markings!) I still regret leaving the SS's behind because they were in great displayable condition and I still don't have any added to my collection. I am 25 now have roughly 50 G1s in my collection and maybe 100 or so G3s. :p
 
My very first pony was Tassels. She is still part of my pony herd. I got her back when I was really young. Not sure how old I was. My dad got her for me. She got lost and forgotten for a while. I saw a picture of My Little Ponies or something and she was on it. I went to my parents saying I have her. Once I found her I wanted more ponies. My dad began buying ponies he found at yard sales. My collection started growing into what it is today.:wink:
 
I don't really remember if we (my sister and I) had any before the castle and Majesty. We got it for Christmas one year with a few extra ponies...I know that my favorite then was Gusty and hers was baby surprise. Firefly was the daddy, and we had some seaponies and flutters for a time too. I remember the day that my mother got rid of my Gusty, she gave it to a neighbor girl and I cried and cried.

As for my recent collection, my husband got me a Twinkle Hope for a stocking stuffer last year, she sat on my desk for a few months before the bug got me...I bought an AppleJack off Ebay, then found some more G1s at a garage sale, then a few G3s, then a couple of babies, and a flutter, now it is just simply out of control. :bliss:
