So this weekend my Fiance decided to be crazy spontaneous and take us from Yonkers N.Y, to Pittsburgh P.A for an oldies concert. ( 10 hour drive! yipes!) We had been there a little over a year ago for a previous concert, and there was this awesome looking vintage toy store in the same area as the concert. Only problem was, it was closed :-(
I swore I would go pony hunting there one day...and Yesterday, I finally got my chance!
My Fiance kept saying, "dont get your hopes up, they may not have ponies" But I just had a feeling. So long story short...we walk in..and on a table in the center of the store were.....
PONIES! I freaked. I`ve NEVER found G1`s ANYWHERE. I was so excited! Here is who I went home with:
SS Surprise, SS Best wishes, Princess Tiffany, and plush Blossom,after a much needed Bath&Brushing. My fiance (who isnt a big pony fan) was all excited about tiffany "OO she`s so shiny, you have to get her!" She was in the best shape, the so softs were missing small bits of flocking and had crazy hair, but I didnt care. And blossom has seen better days, but I HAD to get her...when I was little my grandparents took me to a thrift store, and they had plush blossom there. I wanted her sooo badly, but they wouldnt get her for me. But now she`s mine
I left behind an orange twinkle eyed pony, Sundance (if it was TAF sundance I woulda grabbed her) firefly, BBE baby sundance, and glory. They were all $5 Each
I also left with a vintage strawberry shortcake doll, and MIB skipper doll from the 90`s.
It was awesome! Now comes the hard part...finding space for them on my overcrowded pony shelf :dumbo:
