So I finally found a K-Mart in my area, but it was in a really bad side of town. I will probably only ever go in there for ponies from now on because the place smelled like cigarettes and cat pee. (no offense to cigarette smokers or cat lovers, it's just that the two mixed together is quite a strange odor) BUT! They had a GREAT pony selection and everything was 10% off!

I finally have the re-release Rainbow ponies!! Woot!

:eeek: The new rainbow ponies!! WOW!! I'm seriously thinking about making a trip over to the Kmart here. It's a bit of a drive, but if those are on sale, they might be worth the trip.

Thank you!!! They are really well done. The only huge difference I can tell through the packaging is that their eyes are smaller and their glitter symbols have a sealant of some kind over them. Very clever Hasbro!! Cut down on the glitter loss that the originals have an issue with.

i went today and i was only able to get one of the rainbow pony set. if i had more money to spend, i would have bought both of them, especially since they only had one of each left. i got the one with parasol, moonstone and starshine. i am bummed that the sticker isnt like their original puffy sticker.
you know whats weird? they arent made of the soft vinyl plastic, theyre hard, which i thought was weird. you dont want little girls playing with hard ponies.

I've been looking and looking for them in my town for the last 6 months that I've been seeing them on ebay but I can't seem to find them anywhere.

Are they not released in Canada yet?

Wow they're hard?? Ew...they look so soft in the boxes! Very strange. Kind of makes me feel a little better about keeping them in their boxes LOL!

I'm also really sad they are so expensive. $16???? Jeez... Luckily I had the cash, but still. Ponies might be $5-6 individually but I think we should get a discount in bulk :p hahaha
 
They are soo pretty! The re-releases are soo cool!
 
Whoa, I'd totally go through a store that smelled like cat pee and cigarettes to find the Rainbow Ponies!!!! Man, I want those! They are $16 each, even with the 10% off ? Freaky! I told myself I wanted to get these in stores- the Original 6 I got online, but these I really want to find in stores, but there are no gosh darn Kmarts near me! I'd have to go on a road trip to get them.

I think I want to open mine, but I'm not sure- maybe I'll just open one box. Which one... hmm, Windy looks nice. But I love Moonstone!
Ah well!

All I'm really trying to say is, that's awesome, I wish I had them, and thanks for sharing!
 
I got mine a few weeks ago on Amazon, plus you should be able to get free shipping with that, too. Not sure if that's an option for anyone? I just didn't want to wait for them to come out here, when I knew it'd be for forever. *Watch, soon, they'll be everywhere for CHEAP... ugh* I got mine $15 for each set.

Hahahahahaha yes!! Exactly how I see it!!! I made my mom take me because it was in such a gross side of town. It was so bad in there, it made Wal-Mart look like an Ethan Allen gallery LOL hahahahaha

It was actually $16.99 minus the the 10%, so whatever that is...lol with the 2 boxes, I paid about $34 something.

I checked Amazon but they didn't have any :( So sad...

I probably won't open mine because I have the set completed with G1, so I can just fondle those ones :D :D :D :D
 
well, that was my first time actually looking for them and when i did it was to decide which of the 2 to get because i didnt have enough money for them both. not only that yeah, 16.99 is a bit much and whoopity doo about the 10%. thats like what the sales tax was, so really i saved like 40 cents. can you say stupid? 10% is so not generous. anything under 20% is squat to me. so they need to make them cheaper.
oh yeah, besides the hard body, their hair, not very pretty when the plastic is removed from it. it sticks up, doesnt style to the side like they should be. brushing didnt really help. but atleast theyre pretty. im glad i got them. this set got me my first starshine.
 
I really need to check out our Kmart again here too. I think I'll be going there today. Taking my daughter to get her pictures taken so after that, I think we'll hit toysrus and if no luck there kmart! :)
