Would someone like to create images for the G3 Pose Guide?

If you've been reading the Discussion board, you might notice each day I post a Pose of the Day, asking for pictures of G3's in certain poses. I've been putting together a G3 Pose Guide website for everyone to use, to identify Ponies in certain poses (for people who like to collect every pose of a Pony, or every Pony in a certain pose, etc!)

Well, I'm an okay website designer, and I have all these wonderful photos to display thanks to Pony collectors here, but I'm horrible at photoshopping icons, banners, etc! So I was wondering if anyone would like to design the images that would be on this site. You can use your own drawings, or just a photo of a G3 Pony, I don't mind! You will of course be given credit for donating the images on the Thanks page (along with everyone who donated photos, of course!)

Here's what the website needs:

- A banner for the top, which states the site name: "Dragonflitter's G3 Pose Guide" and an image of a G3 Pony would look nice
- link banners and buttons, for if people want to link to the website
-maybe a little 'back' button for the bottom of the page, which they can click to go back
- two images which will be on the front page, with text on them. One says "Search by Pose" and the other says "Search in Alphabetical Order" or something to that effect. They could each have a G3 Pony on them, and of course design them however you want.

Lastly:
- two images for the "mini-site" part of this website, which will be a guide to the backcard images of all the G3 packages. The images should be similar to the two above images, but smaller maybe. Should say "Search in Alphabetically Order" and "Search by Pose" and could have images from the backcards, or something like that.

The coloring of the website will be #CC99FF for the background (lavender) and #0000CC (dark blue) for the text (see this website for a list of webpage colors: www.w3schools.com/html...colors.asp )

sounds like fun! i haven't done website graphic design in years, but i've gotten fairly handy with MSPaint and have started playing around with photoshop more.

mapago's linearts are freaking me out... it's weird seeing ponies without hair, LOL!

About the "back button" I see a little pony in Kimono I pose all in black facing left with "back" written in bold on her right.

"search by pose" button: several ponies in different ponies in a rectangle (the size you want the button to be)

"alphabetical search" I see only one pony in this button... Alphabittle :p


But then these are only ideas, I will try to turn them in actual things ;)

i was thinking of a pony in the sunny daze 1 pose, because they look like they're looking back over their shoulder. :)

I've had this post up at the Arena for a week and I haven't had more than a nibble, yet one day here and I have great ideas! Thanks so much!

For the size of the 2 main buttons on the front page (by pose and alphabetically):
There's definitely some lee-way, so let your imagination go wild! I would like them to be side by side on the screen, so they probably shouldn't be tooooo many pixels wide, probably 500 is pushing it a bit. 350-400 would be good. And for height, it would be good if we could see the whole image on the page without making them scroll down, so again 400 or so, maybe 500.

Alphabittle, hahaha! Yes, she should get that spot, shouldn't she? Cute!!
 
is there a third color you'd be okay with including? i thought it would be cute to have the ponies on the banners and buttons match your color scheme, but there aren't any purple ponies with dark blue hair (or vice versa) and a purple pony with light blue hair would be hard to see on a purple background...
 
Oh sure! I think any colors that would look good with purple and blue would be more than acceptable. I just listed the website colors to give some idea of what it will look like, for people who are far more color-coordinated than I am (with my color sense I would choose some horribly garish color that looks awful haha)
 
Bump! I just finished gathering all 366 photos for the site! YEESH! I'm ready to start building the website, I'd love to see some images! I can put up the front page and give people a look-see at what the site will look like! :D
 
yeah, i think that would really help! i kind of hit a slump. XD
